Do you make international telephone calls on a regular basis? If so, it would behoove you to look into a couple other options available today that make international calling a whole lot cheaper.

One of these options is that of VoIP. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, is a technology that has been developed that uses your high-speed internet connection to make telephone calls. There are several VoIP companies out there now that provide similar services in turning your high-speed internet into a telephone line. These companies offer extremely inexpensive international rates, as well as free local and long distance service, for a reasonable access fee. The voice quality over VoIP is another of its features. In almost every case, VoIP is clearer than standard telephone lines.

The drawback to using VoIP is that if you don't have a high-speed internet connection, you can't use it. With the monthly fee that the service providers charge, it is ordinarily not economical to set up high-speed internet just to be able to make cheaper phone calls.

If the drawback to VoIP prevents you from using it, then perhaps you could consider a phone card. Phone card companies today offer a wide array of rechargeable phone cards, many of which have international rates that are extremely low. Before you buy a phone card to call internationally, though, there are a few things you should think about.

First off, look for a card that has a local access number. These numbers, which should be located in the same area code as you so that it's a local call, save money. The alternative is to call the toll-free number that goes with the card. The reason local access numbers save money as opposed to calling the toll-free number is that the phone card companies charge more for using the toll-free number with their phone card. This extra per-minute charge uses your available minutes, resulting in fewer of the minutes that you paid for to actually talk with.

Another feature of phone cards that can save you money is purchasing a no connection fee card. The no connection fee cards cost a little bit more per minute than the connection fee cards, but it's money well spent. Otherwise, you'll be handing over a large chunk of your available minutes every time you make a phone call with the phone card, yet another use of your minutes that takes away from the time you have to talk.

Something that won't save you money, but should be definitely considered when looking at which phone card to purchase, is whether the card that you are looking at can even be used in the country you will be calling from. Some phone cards are made specifically for certain countries, while others can be used from anywhere. While buying the right phone card for your country won't save you money, it will prevent you from throwing your money away on a card that you can't even use.

Whether you make international telephone calls on a daily basis, or just need to call a family member in another country once, there are options out there that can save you money. With just a little research and hard work, you too could be saving on international telephone calls.

--
liova writes articles about calling cards and making international calls.
You've probably heard that you can make cheap phone calls abroad using a relatively new technology called Voice Over Internet Protocol, or ‘Voice over IP', or even ‘VoIP'. But do you know about the multitude of other advantages of using VoIP to make international calls?

New VoIP technology is causing a revolution in the way people make international phone calls. The main reason that people tend to be attracted to VoIP is because it is a way to make cheap phone calls abroad. But there are many advantages to using VoIP for international communication. Here are a few of them.

1. It's economical. VoIP providers offer you the opportunity to make telephone calls abroad by using your existing broadband service. Because of this, they don't need to charge for overheads such as expensive line rental, like traditional phone providers have to do. So VoIP providers can offer cheap tariffs for all international calls, to countries all around the world, as well as the UK. The world of VoIP means saying goodbye to traditional expectations of high international tariffs, shocking bills and clock-watching to keep the overseas call short. Cheap calls abroad - even free phone calls abroad - are now available to everyone who needs to communicate across borders.

2. You could cancel your existing line. If you have a cable telephone service, you can cancel this altogether without affecting your broadband service (a broadband connection and phone handset are the only things you need to use VoIP). The savings in line rental costs would soon add up - and that's even before you've started using the service to call abroad.

3. VoIP phones usually work on ‘call plans', not ‘minutes'. VoIP providers can afford to offer a range of so-called ‘call plans'. You usually have to pick one of these call plans when you sign to the VoIP provider. From then, you can make unlimited anytime calls to landlines (and sometimes to mobiles) in the countries listed in that particular call plan. If you only ever really call landlines in Europe, for example, you can choose a call plan that covers the relevant European countries. If you regularly call countries elsewhere in the world, there will doubtlessly be a call plan that bundles those together.

4. You get access to cheap international tariffs. Once you've signed up to a VoIP provider, you can also immediately get access to discounted tariffs to countries that aren't listed in your given call plan. So if you call some countries only occasionally, and your call plan doesn't include them, you'll still benefit from the VoIP provider's cheap international rates.

5. It's easy to set up. Getting going with Voice over IP is a doddle. You simply sign up with your provider of choice on-line. You can do this online. If your provider offers free PC-to-PC national and international calls, you just need to make sure that the person you want to call overseas is able to receive your calls. If you want to call phone-to-phone, your VoIP provider will send you an adapter as soon as you've signed up. You simply use this adapter to connect the base of your normal telephone handset to your router or modem. And that's pretty much all there is to it - you're ready to start making cheap phone calls abroad using VoIP.

6. You may be able to add a ‘virtual number' to your service. Some VoIP providers will offer you the chance to add a ‘virtual number', once you've signed up to their service and you're set up with a VoIP phone number. For this virtual number, you can pick a country code that's local to someone else. So even though you're in the UK, you can for example add a virtual number with a US country code to your account. When the person in the US dials that US number, they'll pay only the cost of a national call. But their call rings straight through to your VoIP phone number back here in the UK.

7. There's not much ‘stuff'. Aside from a small adapter, you don't need any bits and pieces, no messy leads etc. To use VoIP, you just use your own home phone and your existing broadband connection, and connect the two using a small adapter sent by your VoIP provider.

8. It's handy. You can manage everything on line, from activating any one of the many free features that most VoIP providers include, to checking details of all international calls made and received. You can even get your voicemail by email, which can be extremely useful if you're somewhere else.

9. It's mobile. VoIP technology means that your VoIP phone number, unlike traditional phone lines, is tied to a person - not to a place. So if you go away, whether it's for a day, a week, a month or more, and even if you travel outside the UK yourself and need to make international calls from another country, you can simply unplug your adapter and take it with you. As long as you've got access to a broadband connection and a handset, you'll be able to use your VoIP number as though you were still at home.

10. It's flexible. Most VoIP providers will allow you to up-date your account at any time. They often offer a range of chargeable add-ons. These may include useful services such as the ability to make VoIP phone calls abroad from your laptop.
Flexibility, convenience, mobility… As you can see, using VoIP to call abroad offers a lot more than just the chance to save money.

Flexibility, convenience, mobility… As you can see, using VoIP to call abroad offers a lot more than just the chance to save money.

--
Costas Kariolis - Online Marketing Manager of Vonage UK.
If you've heard of VoIP, or even Voice over IP, you'll have some idea that it's a way of making telephone cheap international calls or even free international calls over the internet. But if you've looked into it, you might find it a little confusing. So what exactly do you need to do to implement VoIP either at home or at work?

Most of us are looking for easy ways to cut costs and balance budgets, whether it's at work or at home. One of the most painless ways to save money is to look at your telephone bills, especially if you call abroad. If you're looking for cheap international calls, or even free international calls, you may have come across VoIP: new technology that enables you to make cheap phone calls over your existing broadband connection.

If you want to implement VoIP, the main issue to consider is how much flexibility you want. As a rule of thumb, the more flexibility you want, the more you pay.

Not much flexibility: PC-to-PC.
If you want free international calls, and you don't mind a few limitations, consider a VoIP provider that offers free PC-to-PC international calls. To implement VoIP in this way, you and the person you're calling must have the following:

• a computer or laptop each;
• a broadband connection each;
• a headset/ microphone/ speaker (these may be integral to your computer) each;
• individual accounts with compatible VoIP providers that allows PC-to-PC calls, such as Skype or MSN.

As well as these set-up limitations, there are also restrictions in the way you use the service:

• you both need to sitting at your computers in order to make or receive a PC-to-PC Voice over IP call; this usually means agreeing a time and date for the call;
• the calls must be PC-to-PC; that is, you can't just pick up your phone and dial;
• if you use this to make any calls to any other landlines or mobiles, you'll be charged by the minute;
• you'll probably find that the sound quality isn't as good as that of a regular landline or mobile phone.

Lots of flexibility: phone-to-phone.
If you love the sound of VoIP, but aren't prepared to put up with the restrictions above, it's worth considering a completely different, much more flexible way of implementing VoIP and making cheap international calls. Using VoIP to make phone-to-phone calls is, basically, just the same as using a normal phone.
First, it's just you who needs to get set up with the following:
• a computer or laptop;
• a broadband connection;
• a regular handset;
• an account with a VoIP provider that allows this kind of calls;

In terms of how you use this phone-to-phone VoIP service, it's more or less what you've always been used to.
• you can just pick up your normal handset and dial;
• you can dial any number, not just other VoIP phones;
• you get unlimited calls to all landlines and mobiles featured in your particular call plan;
• you don't need a headset;
• you don't need to be at your computer;
• your computer doesn't even need to be switched on;
• the people you're calling don't need a computer, broadband or any kind of VoIP account;
• the call quality is so good that they won't even realise you're using a broadband phone.

Bespoke flexibility: phone-to-phone and PC to PC
You can, of course, combine these two ways of implementing VoIP and tailor-make a system that's perfect for you. It depends on your own needs and calling habits.

Say for example that you've got a family member you talk to frequently in France, but most of your friends live in the States. In this case, it might make sense for both you and the person in France to take the time and trouble to set up a free PC-to-PC VoIP service, and agree a regular time and day for speaking to each other. Then you could also sign up to one of the phone-to-phone VoIP providers and choose a call plan that offers unlimited anytime calls from the UK to, for example, landlines and mobiles in the States and Canada, for a low, fixed monthly fee.

Once you've decided how much flexibility you want, the next step is to go ahead and sign up with an appropriate VoIP provider. However you decide to implement VoIP, you can be sure of one thing - you'll save money, whichever system you use.

--
Costas Kariolis - Online Marketing Manager of Vonage UK.
New VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol, or Voice over IP) technology offers everyone the chance make cheap internet calls over their existing broadband connection. But as well as the cost savings, there are many other benefits to using an internet phone service, some of which you may not have considered. Here, then, is a look at some of the neat and useful ways in which an internet phone service might make life easier for you.

VoIP is a new kind of communication technology. It can send voice communications over networks such as the Internet. In short, VoIP first converts your voice into a digital format for transmission over the Internet. At the other end, it reverses the process, and the person at the other end of the line hears your voice as normal.
Because it uses broadband, VoIP technology can save telephone customers a stack of money. Customers enjoy significant savings because of the following:

•	set-up fees are low;
•	call plans subscriptions are affordable;
•	international tariffs are cheap;
•	cable broadband customers can cancel their existing telephone line rental.
But as well as the well-known money-saving benefits, there are other many other advantages of an internet phone service. Here are some of them.

1. You use your existing broadband connection. This means that it's very easy, and very quick, to get started with an internet phone service. You sign up online, in a matter of minutes, and get a new internet phone number almost immediately.

2. For a phone-to-phone internet phone service, you can use your existing telephone handset. It's simply a matter of connecting your phone to your modem or router, using the adapter that the VoIP provider will send you when you sign up.

3. You can either keep this new number, or you can usually transfer your original telephone number if you want to.

4. Internet phone service providers offer a broad range of low-cost call plans. So instead of paying minute-by-minute, you simply pay for your monthly call plan. From then, calls to landlines (and sometimes mobiles) in countries listed within your call plan are unlimited and ‘anytime'.

5. Once you've signed up, you can benefit from the all the other cheap tariffs the VoIP provider offers for calls to countries that aren't included in your call plan.
6. With a phone-to-phone VoIP provider, you're not tied to the computer. You can simply use your telephone as you always have done. Simply pick up the handset and dial the number you want to call.

7. VoIP providers often offer their customers a fistful of free features that other telephone service providers will typically charge for. These are features such as call waiting, ringback, caller ID, voicemail, call diversion etc. These are usually included as standard, no matter what call plan you choose, for you to enjoy as and when you need them.

8. Your internet phone is portable. As long as you've got access to a broadband connection and a telephone handset, you can take your VoIP adapter with you wherever you go. No matter where in the world you are, you can make and receive calls as though you were still at home. People won't even know you've gone away!

9. With VoIP, you often get the option of signing up for interesting and useful add-ons. These are services that no traditional telephone company could offer. For example, you can get extra numbers added to your account, as and when you need them. Or you can set up an add-on that allows you to make calls from your laptop. Or you might want to set up a ‘virtual' phone number for friends, family or colleagues overseas - this is a number that has a code that's local to them, but which rings through to your own internet phone. This means that they can call you internationally, but pay only the cost of a local call.

10. You can manage everything to do with your internet phone online. That includes activating free features, ordering useful add-ons, monitoring all calls made and received, and updating your account in anyway, as and when you need to do so.
So as you can see, internet phones, using modern VoIP technology, offer much more than just a way of saving a lot of money. They offer lots of useful practical benefits, too.

--
Costas Kariolis - Online Marketing Manager of Vonage UK.
If you're looking for a way of making cheap phone calls, you'll have come across new technology called Voice over Internet Protocol (Voice over IP, or VoIP). Most people realise that the decision about whether to use VoIP is really a no-brainer. It allows you to make calls over the internet, instead of through a traditional phone line, so the amount of money it can save you can be significant. But once you've made the decision to use VoIP to make cheap calls, what next? How can you make sure you pick a good low-rate VoIP provider?

If you're convinced by VoIP, but you haven't yet signed up, then don't rush in. Curb your excitement about the thought of all those cheap international calls, take your time and consider the following points.

1. Reputation. Customer feedback is worth more than anything a company says about itself. Does the low rate VoIP provider, as well as offering cheap calls, also enjoy a solid, positive reputation and the goodwill of its customers? Can you find any comments or reviews from existing customers? Some VoIP providers will offer testimonials. What do these say? Are they independent? Perhaps you can find someone who already uses that particular VoIP provider, and who might be willing to give you a candid view about the service.

2. Call plans. Think about what countries you call, and how frequently. Check the VoIP provider's call plans. How many are there? What countries are included? There's no point signing up for a call plan that includes a raft of countries that you're never likely to call, or will call only infrequently. Does the provider offer a basic call plan for UK landlines only, as well as one that includes dozens of countries around the world, and various call plans in between? Beware of a VoIP who offers call plans that simply seem to good to be true - it could be a sign that they're in financial difficulty. Expect to pay from around £6 a month for the most basic, UK-only call plans, and around £20 a month for a call plan that covers numerous countries, with a range of call plans in between.

3. International tariffs. Check the VoIP provider's international rates for calls to countries that aren't included in your call plan. You don't want to have a wonderful, low-rate call plan and find yourself stung by high rates whenever you call a number that's not included in your plan. Fortunately, because VoIP uses broadband to make calls, you'll find that even these rates are much, much lower than those offered by traditional phone companies.

4. Tie-ins and fees. Does the VoIP provider want you to commit to a contract? Is there a trial period? What are the penalties, if any, if you cancel your service? Are there any set-up fees, admin fees, equipment fees, postage fees, or any other kind of charges? And you want to make sure that there is a money-back guarantee, no-questions asked trial period? Check the VoIP provider's website to see how transparent they are about their charges. Ideally, they should be absolutely clear about what you will be charged, and when.

5. Flexibilty. Will the VoIP provider allow you to choose a dialing code? Some will give their customers the option of deciding what dialing code they want - either one that's local to where they live, like a traditional phone service, or one that's local to their customers or family. It might not be relevant to your needs right now, but it could be something that would be of great benefit in the future.

6. Customer service and technical support. What's the customer service and technical support like? Can you contact someone for free, by phone or email, when you need to? Is there someone available to talk to you at any time? Some of the fiercest criticisms of telecoms companies are the result of poor customer service and dreadful technical support. You really don't want this to ever be a headache, should you ever need it, so make sure that the VoIP provider puts the customer first in these respects.

7. Features. What features does the VoIP offer? Traditional service providers often charge for features such as voicemail, call-waiting, caller id, call forwarding etc. Does the VoIP provider charge for such basic features? Or do they offer them for free?

8. Add-ons. What does the VoIP provider offer in terms of chargeable services you can bolt on to your account later, if you want to? These days, thanks to advances in technology, you can get really useful add-ons. You might, for example, be able to make calls from your computer or laptop, add a second phone line, or create a ‘virtual' phone number that rings to your own number, so that friends or family who live abroad can call you cheaply.

9. Transparency and clarity. Does the VoIP provider's site look professional? Is it easy to understand and navigate? Can you find what you want straight away? Is the language clear, concise and unambiguous? Does it inspire confidence that this is a trustworthy VoIP provider?

10. Keep your number. Can you keep your original telephone number if you want to? Is it a straightforward process?

If you're already convinced (and you should be!) by the cost savings of using VoIP providers to make cheap international calls, it's best not to rush into signing up with any old provider. Think carefully about the issues listed above, choose your VoIP provider wisely, and cheap calls will be all yours. You'll never look back.

--
Costas Kariolis - Online Marketing Manager of Vonage UK. Luckily, new VoIP technology means that cheap phone calls or even free international calls to Pakistan are now available to everyone.

Have you got friends and family in Pakistan? If so, how do you stay in touch? Letters, postcards and email are great, but they're just not the same as a proper conversation. People are often reluctant to pick up the phone to call friends and family in Pakistan, though. The tariffs are simply often too high to justify the call, they feel. And even if they do phone, they can't really relax and enjoy the conversation, because they know that with every minute, the phone bill is soaring. It's the same with international calling cards - you can't concentrate on the conversation because you're worried about how much credit the call is eating up. So, to save money, people will often avoid phoning their friends and relatives in Pakistan, or only do so rarely.

There is, though, a way to make free international calls or cheap phone calls to Pakistan - by avoiding traditional phone lines altogether. It's possible thanks to modern Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, which makes calls over a broadband connection. VoIP turns spoken words into digital signals that travel across the internet, then turns them back into speech at the other end.

There are two main ways you can use VoIP to make free calls or cheap calls to Pakistan.

1. ‘PC to PC'
In this set-up, VoIP software turns your computer into a telephone. You, and those you're talking to in Pakistan, must both sign up to compatible VoIP providers such as Skype or MSN. If only works if you've both got a computer or laptop, a broadband connection, a headset/ microphone/ speaker (which may already be on your computer).

This system may suit you fine. It's certainly the cheapest option, as it enables you to make free international calls. But it does have its limitations. You and the person in Pakistan both need to be at a computer, and you both need to have signed up with compatible providers. You can also use PC to PC system to make calls to other landlines or mobiles in Pakistan, though you'll be charged for these by the minute. Bear in mind, too, that the quality of the call probably won't be as good as that of a regular landline or mobile phone.

2. Phone to phone
If you want greater flexibility of making cheap phone calls using a traditional home telephone (instead of through your PC with headsets), it might be worth thinking about signing up with a VoIP provider that allows you to do this. What usually happens is that you opt for one or other of the call plans the provider offers. Depending on the call plan, these offer free calls to various countries - or you can get a really basic call plan that simply includes unlimited anytime calls to the UK.

Because they use VoIP technology, these service providers can also afford to offer highly competitive international tariffs for calls to other countries. So if you find that Pakistan doesn't feature in any of the call plans offered, don't worry. If Pakistan is the only international country you want to call, you can simply sign up to the service provider's most basic call plan. As soon as you've signed up, you'll have full access to the provider's full range of cheap international tariffs, including Pakistan. If you're likely to call other international countries, check to see whether they're included in any call plans. By comparing the call plans and international tariffs, you should be able to work out what's best for you.

With this ‘phone to phone' system, you'll get a special adapter from your VoIP provider. By using this adapter to connect your normal handset to your computer or router, you can effectively take advantage of VoIP technology - but use your normal phone to make ‘phone-to-phone' calls to Pakistan. The only difference is that the calls go through your existing broadband connection - and not through a landline. It means that you can simply pick up the phone and dial a number in Pakistan. The person you're calling doesn't need to have a computer, or broadband. The call quality is so good that the person you're calling won't know you're using VoIP.

So if you want the pleasure of being able to make long, guilt-free, cheap calls to Pakistan, VoIP might be the way to go. You'll never worry about your phone bill again.

--
Costas Kariolis - Online Marketing Manager of Vonage UK.
Calls to India from the UK can be so painfully expensive, because of expensive international call charges. But what if you've got friends and family in India? Or if part of your business is based in India? If that's the case, perhaps you don't talk to them as often as you'd like to. You'll be glad to know, then, that new VoIP technology means that everyone can now make cheap calls to India.

Got loved ones or friends in India? Want to stay in touch with them? You probably know how lovely it is to have a long talk with someone you haven't heard from for a while. Email and letters are great, but they're nowhere near as satisfying as a phone call. Only a call can capture someone's turns of phrase, their laughter, or the nuances of their mood. And it's often only during a phone call that people begin to relax and start to talk - properly talk. In other words, phone calls help maintain relationships in a way that letters and emails simply can't compete with.

But people are often reluctant to pick up the phone, especially if it's just for a ‘chat'. They know from experience how expensive it can be. There's no greater conversation killer than knowing that every minute is racking up your phone bill, or draining the credit from your international calling card. So people will sometimes go for days, weeks or even months without talking to their friends and relatives in India. Even when they do call, they clock-watch the whole time, unable to relax and enjoy the conversation, because they're always conscious of how long the call is taking and how much it is going to cost.

The cost of calls is a serious problem for the business sector, too. Businesses with hubs based in India simply can't afford to cut corners when it comes to communicating. With both India-based businesses and families with relatives in India, demand for cheap calls to India has soared.

Luckily, there is now a way to make calls to India that are either ridiculously cheap - or even completely free. Thanks to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, you can now make cheap calls to India and other countries that, if not free, are so cheap that you'll never again worry about your phone bill.

So what is VoIP, and how does it work? Basically, VoIP uses specialist software to use broadband to enable you to make calls, not a traditional phone line. It turns your voice into a digital signal that can travel across the internet, then back into a voice at the other end.

Here's how you could use VoIP to make cheap calls to friends, family and business contacts in India.

Computer to Computer
This enables you to make free international calls to India by using VoIP software. The software, basically, turns your computer into a telephone. You and the person you want to call in India, both need a computer, a broadband connection, and a headset/ microphone/ speaker (your computer or laptop may have these built in). And you must both be signed up to an appropriate VoIP providers (such as Skype or MSN).

This system suits many people, particularly as the calls to India are free. But it does mean that you are both need to have access to a computer. You both need to make sure your providers will be compatible. The system is also totally separate from your traditional landline service, so you can't just pick up the phone and dial any number in India you need/want to - it has to be PC to PC. You can use this to make calls to other landlines or mobiles in India, but if you do, you will be charged for the calls by the minute. And the call quality may not be up the standard you're used to.

The traditional way - Telephone to Telephone
Perhaps you'd like more flexibility - you want to be able to use your home telephone as normal, but still benefit from the cheap calls that VoIP offers. You'd rather not be tied to your PC, or be obliged to use headsets. If so, there are VoIP providers who will let you do this. With this method, you sign up to a paid call plan with a VoIP provider. The VoIP provider will send you an adapter that allows you to plug the base of your normal handset into your computer or router. This uses VoIP technology to make calls to India that are, in practice, ‘phone-to-phone', but through broadband, not through a traditional landline.

What you do in this case, once you've signed up, is just pick up your handset as before, dial the international number, and the other person's phone rings in India. They will probably not even know you're using VoIP, the call quality's that good. And they don't need to have anything like broadband or even a computer themselves.

Just think what it would mean to know that you can enjoy relaxed conversations to India, at any time of the day or night. You don't need to wait for a reason to call - you can simply call and chat about family news. After all, it's contact like this that builds relationships and bonds families and friends together.

And if you're a UK-based business with some of your operations out-sourced to India, you can easily keep tabs on work events and colleague news at that end of the business.
With so many people needing to stay in touch with family, friends and colleagues in India, but with the global economy hitting everyone's budgets, VoIP couldn't have come at a better time.

--
Costas Kariolis - Online Marketing Manager of Vonage UK.
Today in our busy schedules and fast lives, we look for ways and means that can save our time, now and again. If from the comforts of our homes, we can access the web and get all the things that are needed in our daily life, then nothing can be better than this. Mobile phones are used by all of us today and getting them updated or recharged time and again is often a problem for many people. These recharges are available through different cards of the respective networks. In the states like USA and Canada one has to use these types of cards very frequently, and getting them online through the web relieves the customers to a greater extent. But there are some hidden fees charged by phone cards sites, so people should always be very careful while purchasing these types of cards. One should have a crystal clear idea about the additional charges that can be charged by the dealers.

There are many factors that one should keep in mind while purchasing calling cards online, otherwise they will find some hidden fees charged by phone cards site as these cards are meant for reducing the rate of the international call without thinking of the bulk bills. There are three types of calling cards that people can choose from. These are multiple call pack, a few call pack and single call pack. The most desired one is the multiple call pack in which there are no such hidden charges but the call per minute charges are standard. If one goes for a few call cards then he would find some of the values to be deducted as service and other charges but these are well adopted in countries like USA and Canada. The call per minute value of these cards is also less. The last card is not recommended because it is for a single call only and carries a lot of hidden costs.

In the countries like USA and Canada the hidden costs apply to a greater extent. These costs are nothing but service fees, network fees, taxes and others. If one finds the hidden fees charged by phone cards site to be abnormal then he should immediately report it to the authority, otherwise the cards with the hidden charges have no such big difference, it genuinely gives 95% of usage of the talk time. But one should always go for the multiple call value packs or pack written as no hidden costs; some of these packs are named as - CiCi, Premier Plus, First Choice and Gold calling card. These cards provide full talk value with calling facilities across many countries. One should also know about the calling cards that have some hidden fees these are - SIFA phone card, 20/20 phone card, Top Plus phone card etc.

So we find that the usual hidden fees charged by phone cards site has some advantages and disadvantages as well. But one should use the card that he desires. Some of the calling cards with hidden fees provide calling for a life time as well. One should always see the pack and the value before e buying.

--
The author is an expert in <a href="http://skypins.com>">calling cards.
