Winning Back Your Ex if He or She Has a New PartnerSubmitted by Valfrid Leonie Sun, 21 Sep 2008
This is going to be a hard task. Your ex has moved on putting the past he/she shared with you in the past and he/she now has feelings for a new partner.
Unfortunately, you still have feelings for your ex that he/she is not aware of. You wonder if the relationship he/she is now in is a rebound relationship following the hurt and disillusionment of "your" breakup. If you really still have genuine feelings for your ex-partner – what do you do? Firstly, you have to let your ex-partner know how you feel and, you will be at your most vulnerable, because you don't know how he/she is going to react to this new revelation. You have come to terms with the pain and disillusionment of your breaking up. You are willing to forgive, but, is your ex-partner willing to do the same? He or she has a new love interest but, you wonder how genuine that love is. There is only one way to find out for sure, and that is to make contact with your ex-partner and ask them if you can meet up. You cannot "not" acknowledge the fact, that your ex has a new partner. In fact, you may be able to use the existence of new partner to your advantage. Is your ex-partner happy within his new relationship? Or, is there a part of him/her that wishes he/she was back with you unaware as to your true feelings? You owe it to yourself to at least talk to your ex-partner face-to-face and admit you still have feelings for him/her. Also, be prepared for a rebuttal – you have to be honest with yourself and, admit that he/she has indeed moved on and found a new partner that he/she is committed to. Either way, you have to move on with your life, either with or without your ex-partner. But being upfront and honest with him/her will have them knowing you still care enough about him/her deep enough to try and rekindle what you once had and that you bear no malice. Who knows, in time, your ex-partner may wish to give your relationship another chance, especially if his/her new relationship starts to deteriorate. Don't expect miracles – if you are meant to be with one another time will ensure that you are. If not, it wasn't meant to be. About the Author
