The Science Of Getting Rich: 7 Principles From Chapter Ten

"Further Use of the Will"

Proper use of the will is one of the secrets to achieving what you want out of life. We can't change the lives of others. We can only change ourselves.

When we try to change others, we are only imposing our will on them in a negative way. This is something we don't have a right to do. Although we may help others, we cannot change them.

These seven principles will help you further use your will in the right way:

1. You can't get what you want if you are focusing on the opposite of what you want.

Don't talk about your past problems or think about them at all. In fact, get rid of all of your baggage from the past. Hatred, resentment, past problems are all things that are nothing more than unnecessary obstacles you create for yourself. Let it go. Move forward.

2. Don't read or study theories that conflict with your study of the Science of Getting Rich.

I have no use at all for churches that do nothing but teach hell fire and brimstone. That's just negative thinking at its worst.

There is no conflict between the Science of Getting Rich and what the Bible teaches about prosperity and right living. If we really want to reach others for Christ, then we need to show them how He has changed our lives for the better.

Study things that are positive. Study those things that will make you a better person. Gandhi said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Want to make the world a better place? Then become a better person.

3. The world isn't going to the devil; it's going to God.

Prophecy proves this one because it all started when God sent us a savior, Jesus Christ. Yes, the world will come to an end, the Tribulation will happen, and it will be horrible.After that will come the millennium and then eternity. It will be the biggest era of prosperity for the world ever.

Until then, we need to work with the world as it is and make the world a better place now. Jesus said "the kingdom of heaven is within you." You don't have to wait until the second coming to find joy, peace, and happiness. Those things are available today.

4. Interest yourself in the world becoming rich.

"Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."

Teach others what you have learned from the Science of Getting Rich and help them use what you have learned to get rich too. You are not helping others by doing for them what they should be doing for themselves. This is nothing more than enabling what is usually bad behavior.

5. Learn the underlying truth of things.

You must see past all of the wrong conditions in life and look at what is right. Those who are in poverty are in poverty because of ignorance. They don't realize that riches are available to everyone including them. This is a hard truth to swallow, but it is true nonetheless.

We all get struck by bad circumstances at one time or another. However, most allow their bad circumstances to pull them down instead of doing something about the situation.

6. You can serve God and man most effectively by getting rich.

We can only give to others what we have to give. If we have nothing, then we have nothing to give. Some of our satisfaction in life comes from helping others, and we can only do that if we have the resources to do it.

Let me remind you of the Garden of Eden: God didn't put Adam and Eve in poverty. He gave them a world rich in abundance and good things.

7. Read and study the Science of Getting Rich faithfully, and you will get rich.

The Science of Getting Rich is ultimately about getting off of the competitive plane and getting onto the creative plane. By getting onto the creative plane, you make the world a better place.

You give to others more in value than you get in cash value. You don't have to compete for anything because you know there is an abundance of things to be had.
