Why should you get involved in a network marketing MLM business? If your business is a good one, then it can more than double your normal income in a short amount of time. There are a few things that you can do to ensure that you succeed at a network marketing MLM business.

You will want to find a network marketing company that is right for you. You will want to feel good about the company and the products that you are going to be representing. If you have questions about the product or service, then ask. It is okay if you do have questions. If you do not see the need for the product, then maybe it isn’t the right product for you to try and sell.

How does the company’s commission schedule look? Look at the figures and run a few estimates. Don’t believe everything you hear about how much someone has made with their company. Chances are that person has been with that company for a while and has had time to build up to that kind of income. It takes time to learn anything, especially a new business. You may not have any expectations of earning a lot of money at first.

You will want to look at who is recruiting you and see how they do it. Do they go on and on about how much money you will make or do they explain to you the possibility of building your own business? Keep in mind that the person you’re talking to might not be the best person to represent the company. Don’t turn someone down just because they have not made any money doing their business yet. Almost everyone in your upline was in the same position at you are going to be when you sign up. If they can show you that they are making a profit from their sales, then that is a great sign. A legitimate company will not have any problem with you talking to the people in your recruiter’s upline.

You will want to know if you are going to have to purchase the product in order to sell it. You don’t want to end up with a garage or attic full of a product that you will never use. Some legitimate network marking companies do require that you sell a minimum amount in order for you to receive a commission on your downline’s sales. You will also need to decide how much time you can invest in your new business. Your goal is most likely to be able to earn enough so that you can quit your day job. The success of your network business is going to be determined by how much time you have invested in it.

--
Diep Tran is Internet marketer, owns a Plug-In Profits Site and webmaster of Internet Home Business Opportunities. For An Internet Home Business Opportunity To Make Money Online, Visit: http://www.internet-wealth.biz

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Let's Take Care Of The Requirements

Setting up your computer to block websites is easy, unfortunately it's also easy for people (your kids for example) to undo your changes to the Windows HOSTS file. In order to prevent this from happening we need to setup at least 2 user accounts.

One account will be an Administrator (you) and the other account will be a limited user account (your kids). Your Administrator account should have a strong password that no one else knows (especially your kids). The limited user account(s) do not have to have passwords, but they can if you want.

Limited user accounts prevent people from making changes to the computer. Therefore your kids will NOT be able to install new software, change settings or delete system files.

Setting up administrator and limited user accounts is easy but they are quite a few steps. So, I have created a article that shows you how to create a limited user account in Windows XP and Vista. I'll also show you how to make an administrator account

Please make sure you have your Administrator and limited user accounts setup before reading the rest of this article.
How Your Computer Finds Websites

Before we start talking about what the Windows Host file is, lets look at how your computer finds websites.

1. You open your web browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox).
2. You type in an address like www.yahoo.com and click enter.
3. Your computer queries the Windows host file for the ip address of yahoo.com This ip address looks like 206.190.60.37.
4. Since your HOSTS file does not have an entry for yahoo.com your computer will query the DNS servers listed in your TCP/IP settings for the ip address of yahoo.com.
5. Your computer gets the ip address for yahoo.com and your browser displays the yahoo.com home page.

So, those 5 steps above are actually a simplistic explanation for how your computer finds and loads a website.

Block Websites With The Windows HOSTS File

Ok, since we now know that our computer looks for websites locally first (in the HOSTS file) we can edit the contents of the HOSTS file so that our PC NEVER goes on the internet to find websites. Sounds sorta confusing huh?

Basically it means every website we add to our hosts file will not load if we set the value of the website to 127.0.0.1 (which is your computer). Here is an example.

Your kids are going to myspace.com a lot and they are picking up all kinds of nasty viruses (yes, many viruses come from myspace.com pages). You need to put a stop to it. Here's how:

1. Login as Administrator
2. Click Start (or the little globe in the bottom left if on Vista)
3. Click Run (in Vista just type where it say's "start search")
4. Type in the word: Drivers. Click Enter.
5. Double Click the Etc folder.
6. Right Click the hosts file, then click properties.
7. Uncheck the read only checkmark if it is checked.
8. Click apply, then click OK.
9. Double Click the hosts file.
10. Windows will ask you to choose the program to open the file with. Click Notepad
11. You will see an extry that looks just like: 127.0.0.1 localhost
12. We are going to add our myspace.com entry below this entry. Type 127.0.0.1 myspace.com
13. Click Save
14. Now, try going to myspace.com....you can't. You computer thinks that myspace.com resides on your local pc, of course it doesn't, so the site never loads.
15. Done! Add any other sites or domains you'd like to block.

--
Click How Do I Block A Website for other tips on free internet filtering.
The internet is a phenomenon which has taken the world by storm. Everyone uses the internet and there are billions of internet users all around the globe.

Most of these internet users will find what they are looking for by searching. They search by using search engines. These search engines will return a list of results based on certain keywords.

Search Engines
Search engines are so popular because they make using the internet much easier. The internet is full to bursting point and finding the information you want would take a lifetime without search engines.

It's estimated that three quarters of internet users will use a search engine every day to find the answers to their questions.

Search engines are so popular and this means that it's important you know how to get your site to be included in the search results. Internet marketing can help you to make this possible. SEO or Search Engine Optimization is where you improve your search engine rank by carefully adjusting certain aspects of your website.

If you aren't listed in search engines then you are losing out of important business. These three quarters of internet users will have no chance of finding you. If you're new to internet marketing then you might find the concept of SEO very confusing. Hold on though, because it's about to get a whole lot easier.

SEO
Your website must be designed with two different types of visitors in mind - Human readers and search engines. You need to carefully satisfy both of these visitors without compromising the other.

Some people will create articles which are stuffed full of keywords. These might have once worked with search engines but they would not be appealing to human readers. Search engines are actually fully aware of people doing this and will penalize people if this happens.
SEO is a difficult internet marketing campaign to implement. To do it properly you need plenty of money and time on your hands. SEO can be made much easier if you break it down into steps.

Keywords
Firstly you need to choose some keywords for your site. Spend a while on this task because it is important. Once you have decided then you will be able to optimize your site based on these keywords.

The keyword needs to be included in Meta tags, titles, and the content of your website. Just make sure you don't overdo it.

Links
You will also find it useful if you can get back links to your website. These are incoming links from other websites. There are a number of ways to get these links. You could try submitting articles, posting on forums, or even buying links.

Content
The content on your site needs to be of a very high quality. It also needs to be unique. A search engine will penalize you for copying and reusing content even if you are legally allowed to. If you want to fare well on the internet then unique content is a must.

SEO marketing campaigns are something that all businesses need to do regardless of their size. Many large multinational businesses have recently realized how important it is. You may not have their large budgets, but it's still possible to make a difference.

--
James Copper is a writer for http://www.thebigagency.co.uk

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

There are many ways to make money from “mini sites”. Mini Site for a general definition usually means a very small site with only a few pages (3 to 10).

However today I am solely concentrating on selling a “single product”. This can be an e-book, piece of software, a service or even simply “list building”.

The Most Important Factor!

The main thrust of any highly profitable mini site is in the planning.

Once this has been achieved "you must see through to the end your action and marketing plan/system."

With a little testing, editing and site marketing, we will have his book selling 500 to 1000% more copies within a month or so.

So don’t get to the 80% point of you work and then quit.

Do a bit more testing, build a better linking campaign, write that pop-up course, launch that press release, do more research, get your sales copy professionally written, have your e-book edited by an expert, get help if you need to.

Plan to Succeed and Succeed by Finishing!

Your Product – Is There Demand?

Simple & quick ways to ascertain if demand for your product or service is present before taking steps to create it.

1. Use Iceboat & Word Tracker to research your keywords and get an idea of competition.

2. After choosing your keyword/s, do a search on Google and see how many “adwords” (right hand side of the screen) advertisements appear.

3. Set up your own free Adwords account and see what amounts are being bid for your given keyword.

The next few tasks also help with the above however it will help you deicide whether there is an exact need for your own product.

1. Do a search for your keywords on Overture Under the top search result click on “sponsored linking” and then click the “view bids tool”.

This will give you the prices of all bids. In general a higher price means that there is much competition and demand for that keyword and product.

Click on a few these links to see exactly what is being sold.

2. Start asking questions on forums associated with your business and product. Does anyone own similar products, what was good about the product or bad, improvements that could be made and so on?

3. Get a survey done.

Marketing Your Mini Site

On of the best ways to market your own product is with an affiliate program. You can have hundreds if not thousands of people advertising your product or service all over the net for free.

Planning & Your Budget

After completing your research you should plan you whole business campaign and prepare and research a budget.

What will you do yourself and what will you outsource? Items to think about are:

Web Design
Sales Copy
Affiliate Setup
Accepting Payments
Download Area (If an online product)
Delivery
Marketing & Web Traffic

If you are a small business much of this can be handled by a staff member to set up or organize. If a solopreneur the same can be done.

Sales copy – a word of warning!

If you have no sales copy experience, you will improve with time spent online.

Even so, although I have many years of experience I still outsource my major copy writing needs. Copy writing is a highly acquired skill and while good copy will make you a lot of money, bad copy will…….

So bottom line. If you have no skill in copy writing, outsource it.

--
www.killer-mini-site.com

www.infozabout.com

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Where Is Satellite Internet Used?

Satellite Internet is becoming more common in areas where traditional high speed Internet service is not available. This includes remote and rural areas where DSL is not available through telephone lines or cable but also in locations that move frequently such as cruise ships that are at sea. These movable locations can still have the advantages of a high speed Internet connection through the use of a two-way satellite dish, which both sends and receives signals through a satellite dish.

Remote and rural customers for years were left out of the broadband revolution and had to make due with low speed dial up connections. This meant slower download times and slower connections. Downloading a large file could take hours instead of seconds or minutes like it does with a high speed connection. Until satellite Internet came along, people had no choice but to deal with a dial up connection, which put them at a technological disadvantage when compared to people who lived in areas where a multitude of high speed Internet connections were available.

The satellite industry saw the need for people in remote areas to have the same kind of Internet access that people who were enjoying the benefits of high speed Internet had. The industry has a track record of serving people who were left out in the cold by technological advances before. For years, people in remote and rural areas have depended upon satellite television to get pay TV service because cable companies would not invest in wiring the area for cable.

Satellite dishes became a common sight in rural areas as people subscribed to satellite television in order to get clear reception and a choice of television programming that was available to their cable counterparts. As the need for high speed Internet increased in remote areas, the satellite industry responded again, making high speed Internet a reality for thousands of remote and rural users who previously had to rely on dial-up to get service.

Satellite Internet was already deployed on cruise ships so passengers could check their email. Resorts on remote islands also employed satellite Internet so they could provide their customers with the amenities of Internet service. Even businesses that had mobile units had satellite Internet so people could stay connected to the office and to the Internet through a satellite connection. Satellite Internet works and provides high speed Internet access that is up to 170 times faster than a dial up connection. Now remote and rural users are enjoying the same kind of Internet access that users in cities and suburbs get.

Satellite Internet is offering rural and remote users the chance to have a reliable Internet connection that provides fast service and allows them to upload and download files and pages with speed and agility. The need for high speed Internet has increased, particularly in remote areas where people may be engaged in home based businesses or in remote distance learning programs. When this need has become a necessity, satellite Internet providers are there to provide a reliable, trustworthy high speed Internet connection that is fast and efficient and levels the technological playing field.

--
As America's leading satellite internet service provider, HughesNet delivers broadband speeds up to 50x faster than dial-up. Service is available anywhere in the contiguous U.S., and with lease options and free standard installation, getting started with HughesNet is easy and affordable.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

The history of eBay

Compared with other dotcom companies launched almost at the same time as eBay, none has ever reached the level of success and popularity among a very huge client base than that of eBay's. Throughout its existence, the company remained steadfast in surviving the bubble burst, but also maintained if not improved its position in the market today.

What is eBay?

EBay is the largest online auction and shopping website that lets people from around the world sell and/buy their wares. As such, it offers online auction hosting, electronic commerce, virtual shopping mall, and with its acquisition of PayPal and Skype, an online payment system VoIP services for its users.

The Beginning Of eBay

Just like other online companies that were launched at around the same time, eBay traces its modest beginnings in San Jose, California on September 4, 1995 when computer programmer Pierre Omidyar put up "AuctionWeb" as part of a website for his online consulting firm Echo Bay Technology Group. For this, Omidyar tried to register the domain name EchoBay.com, but failed as gold mining company Echo Bay Mines had already taken it. So he settled for the shortened domain name eBay.com.

First Item Sold

Story came around that eBay was put up to help Omidyar's fiancee, Pam Wesley sell PEZ candy dispensers. It was later reported to be a PR stunt to give a human emotional interest story to the beginnings of eBay. But just the same, the company recognizes the myth as its headquarters has a wall display filled with homage to Pez dispensers.

To test the waters, Omidyar sold the very first item online, his very own broken laser pointer. To his amazement, a bidding materialized, and the item was sold for $13.83. A few years later, Omidyar's AuctionWeb took off and revolutionized active online trading site for sellers and bidders of ordinary, rare, or valuable collectibles, computers, vehicles, equipment, appliances and other items.

EBay, The Company

In 1997, eBay got venture funding and officially changes its company name to eBay. Its defining moment came on June 10, 1999, when a 22-hour crash turned an otherwise worst moment for the company into an incident that won millions of user's deeper trust for the company. During the 22-hour crash that day, upon management directive some 400 employees of eBay went out of their way to call sellers to apologize for the temporary glitch. EBay’s unanticipated action won a lot of admiration from eBay users around the world.

The Ever-Expanding eBay

1999 saw the start of eBay's acquisition of other online companies. It went on the purchase auction sites and companies such as Half.com, Mercado Libre, Lakau, iBazar, CARad.com, EachNet, Baazee.com, Internet Auction Co., Marktplaats.nl, Rent.com, Gumtree, Loquo, Shopping.com, Opus Forum, Meetup, and Tradera.com.

But among its more significant acquisitions are the 2002 $1.5 billion PayPal buy-out, and the VoIP company Skype for $2.6 billion in stock and cash in 2005.

Today, there are 135 million eBay users around the world. As of December 2005, eBay Inc.'s revenues has risen 39% at $4.55 billion, and net income also at 39% of $1.05 billion. The bulk of the increase in income is attributed to higher sales in the US and other international markets.

--
For more useful tips & hints, please browse for more information at our website: - www.mining-auction-gold.com www.auction.reprintarticlesite.com

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Improve Your Earnings

You may find many Adsense Gurus on the net, offering you thousand ways to improve your Google adsense earnings! Mind you guys, just buying some genius adsense template and expect it to produce thousand dollars a day is a sure impossibility!
I am telling you with my practical experience that nothing would work unless you are prepared to go that extra mile. You should get hold of the adsense secrets that are unique to your site. You must be prepared to make continuous changes and measure effectiveness on a continuous basis.
Following are simple but effective steps successfully followed by the author, which may help you to improve your adsense earnings by five folds or even more! However, keep in mind that nothing would work unless you customize these options to suit your requirements.
The Best Position - This is always the demarcation point which decides you should be earning in hundreds or thousands! You must identify the most likely position where the reader would be most tempted to click. At first you might have to follow what Adsense Gurus have suggested. However, you must keep in mind that what they have said is not unique to your site.
You should be bold enough to do your own research and identify the best positions unique to your site, 'cos there could be exceptions to what Adsense Experts have proposed. Best example I can quote is 'Plentyoffish.com' a dating site which earns half a million Dollars a month just by displaying a single Google ad in each page with completely different link color format than the rest of the site using!
White Is In Demand - Having more white space around the article and the Ad will definitely increase your click through rate. In my case, this is one of the real secrets behind the high click through rate in my Adsense ads. Your objective should be to get the reader's attention to the Adsense ad and the article. Therefore, it is important to have other areas blank as much as possible to centre reader's attention to the Ad and the article. Remove all unnecessary items which are cluttered around the article and the Ad and have more white space on either side of the page.
What is Your Ad Size? - Highly effective Ad formats are 336x250 and 768x120. However, it is up to you to find out the best size for your site. These are the widely tested and accepted sizes. Try them out and see the outcome.
Be Discreet - I personally don't prefer to server image ads in my Adsense campaigns because they dilute the effectiveness of the Ads. It is starkly obvious to the reader that they are clicking on Ads and the sole purpose of putting them is to make money! Just don't make it so obvious! Instead, include text ads which are relevant to the theme.
Trying to be help your buyers find your auctions can be a truly daunting task. Most people only search eBay by title, not by description, and that means that you only have those 55 characters of the title to cover all the possible search terms. That is not easy. In this email, I will give you a few pointers. Do not bother with eBay clinches. There are plenty of eBay auction titles that say things like Super rare camera wow look low price. These are stupid things to put in your title, as no one is going to search for them.

Think like a buyer, if you were looking for your item, then what exactly would you type into that box? If you think it would help, try searching yourself to find someone else selling your item. What were the first things you thought of typing? Think like other sellers, keep an eye on which sellers are doing best with items like yours, and try to copy their title styles, if it works for them, it can work for you. Be specific, you should be sure to write the items brand and specific model number in the title, as people will often search only for this information. Make sure that you also say exactly what the item is.

Once you have drawn the buyers in with your title, the next thing to do is to tell them all about your item with the description. But just what should you write in your description? At its heart, your item description is an ad. Without making it too obvious, you should be writing sales copy. You are trying to get buyers excited about your products, and that is usually hard, but on eBay, if you have the right thing to sell and give enough details, the buyers almost excite themselves.

Include every technical detail you know, including the items manufacturer, its condition, how big it is, where and when it was made, its history, and anything else special about it. Do not be too boring, though the best descriptions are written in friendly, conversational language, and show a real knowledge. Whatever you do, make sure you tell the truth! Remember that most of the people who will be buying your items will be just as knowledgeable about it as you are, if not more, this is their hobby, and they are experts. Do not feel like you need to explain the basics of the item, just go into as much technical detail as you can. As a rule, do not write anything in the description if you do not know what it means, as the chances are someone will, and if you have got it slightly wrong then you will look like you do not know what you are talking about.

Each time you buy or sell something on eBay with your computer, people can leave feedback for you, and you can leave feedback for them. This feedback can be positive, negative, or neutral, along with a comment. Your feedback rating, then, is worked out using a very simple sum: the number of positive feedback comments people have left for you, minus the number of negative ones. This means that someone with a feedback rating of 28, for example, might have 30 positive ratings and 2 negative ones.

If you are a considerate buyer, then you should find that positive feedback will just appear next to your user name, without you needing to do anything. If you want to help it along, though, there are a few things you can do. Always leave feedback for others, people will feel an obligation to leave feedback for you if you leave it for them, eBay will send you an email after each transaction to offer you the opportunity. Take the time to write a positive comment about sellers who do what they should and the chances are they will do the same for you.

--
Ronald W.
You know how we redundantly complain about the traffic we encounter on the Interstate in the morning and after work? Well imagine that times 100 or maybe even a million. While we all deal with the daily pile-ups on the way home from work, it only involves who lives in our area. Imagine how terrible it would be if it involved the entire planet. Now that would be one serious traffic jam, and you can bet there would be countless fits of road rage. Well, lucky for us, we don't have to battle that kind of traffic in the physical world. Now, Internet traffic is an entirely different story.

I will be the first to admit that often Internet traffic really ticks me off. Maybe they should call that cyber-rage. Anyway, like me, you've surely been on the web at times and had difficulty maneuvering from one site to another. This may concern your actual online connection, or more likely it involves the current Internet traffic. You know, all the other web-surfers who're online with you. I typically encounter this sluggish mess when I'm checking my email. You've got to love Hotmail. Now, I really shouldn't complain, because this is a totally free service. But yet it's still annoying to get on MSN and not be able to check my email account. I will say that this overload of Internet traffic generally happens when folks are getting off work or primarily on Saturday.

Websites love tons of traffic. They want as much as they can possibly accumulate. Traffic is wonderful for them because it either means more business or more web-surfers clicking on ads. Ad clicking often means revenue earned via advertisers. If you know what you're doing with this stuff, you can really generate a chunk of change off it. So the next time you're surfing net-land and notice your computer being sluggish, you can assume it's the overload of fellow cyber nuts. Although there is room for everyone in cyberspace, things do tend to get a bit slower when we're all crammed in together. Just don't get upset and toss your expensive laptop out the window in a fit of rage. You'll need it later to check your email.

--
Want more information on Internet traffic ? http://tips-answers.blogspot.com/2007/05/internet-traffic.html has all the information

Source: http://www.articletrader.com
