Abnormal menstrual periods do not necessarily mean a period that runs a few days beyond what you are used to or is delayed for a few days or so. It is natural for a woman to have a few hits and misses now and then with her period especially if she is under a lot of stress or is going through a lot of changes in her life. An abnormal period or a period you should be a bit wary of is not one that does not hit the 28th day mark that is regular for most periods but is a period that shows certain extreme irregularities. Here are some signs that may show that you are experiencing an abnormal menstrual period or cycle:

1. Your period runs longer than a week. The most a period is supposed to last is a week or 7 days. Periods that run longer than this cycle may indicate an abnormal menstrual period.

2. You experience a menstrual cycle that has 31 to 35 days in between periods. A woman's menstrual cycle is supposed to have only 28 days in between periods, from day one of the last period to day one of the next one with an allowance of a day or two.

3. You begin having severe dysmenorrhea or menstrual cramps. It is normal for a woman who has her period to feel a bit of cramping at times when the uterus contracts to shed the lining that is being discarded as your menstrual flow. What is not normal is when you get severe or very painful menstrual cramps that is debilitating or has you doubling over in pain.

4. When you reach the age of 16 or above and you haven't had your periods yet. This is also a cause for worry since most women get their first periods between the ages of 11 to 16. A woman who hasn't had her period yet by the time she is beyond 16 may need to see her doctor or a gynecologist to see what is wrong or to determine if anything is wrong.

5. If you start bleeding before 11 or if you bleed after menopause. These two ages are not supposed to be beset with menstrual periods since one is too early or too young while the other is supposed to have stopped ovulating due to age. You may need to consult with a doctor when this happens.

Other instances that may make a woman experience a pause in having her periods or have her experience rather abnormal menstrual cycles is when she overexerts herself or over-exercises. Other instances that may also make this happen to a woman may include her having thyroid problems, suffering from certain eating disorders or a simple lack of ovulation. There may be instances when a woman will suffer from lapses in her period or a cessation in her period altogether when she has some scars in her uterus from a certain medical procedure performed there.

--
Christia Gordon is a webmaster of www.softcup.com, The INSTEAD® Softcup® is a unique, Menstrual Cycle Products, Heavy periods Products for women to help in treatment of Heavy Menstrual Periods, Menstruation menstrual cycle, Heavy Menstrual Bleeding and period protection.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Homocysteines and Folic Acid

Homocysteine is an amino acid, which can over time accumulate with other substances like calcium in the blood and form plaque. This can cause arterosclerosis and the development of heart disease.
The complex chemical formula: C4H9NO2S denotes homocysteines. Simply put, there are three B vitamins which can reduce homocysteine levels in the blood thus preventing cardiovascular damage. These are vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid.

The possibility that folic acid might be linked to heart health has been asserted since 1969. It was only that recently when Dr. Kilmer McCully suggested that elevated homocysteine levels were present in patients with various fatal cardiovascular diseases. His observations were based on his work as a pathologist. He had seen fatal cardiovascular cases caused by defects in young people. From this correlation between homocysteines and arteriosclerosis came the research to find the cause of the homocysteine.

Now, 37 years after Dr. McCully’s observation, there are many studies which support the link between lower homocysteine levels and proper intake of B vitamins. There is speculation now, though not yet substantiated that there may also be a relationship between homocysteines and neuro tube birth defects(NTD). It may if fact be that there is a further relationship between homocysteine levels and Alzheimer’s disease.

Study of folic acid is still relatively new, as is the body of knowledge about micronutrients in general. There was not any identification of this vitamin at all until the 1930’s. This B vitamin is also called folate and vitamin B9.

Folic acid is a water soluble vitamin and these are very rarely toxic. Intake of fat soluble vitamin needs more careful adherence to recommended dietary intake levels because of the fact that excessive amounts of these are stored in the body. Conversely, water soluble vitamins are used very soon after the intake of them and any excessive dosages are normally excreted within a few days in the urine.

Regardless of the mechanism involved, it is now known that B vitamins are needed by the human body which cannot synthesize them.

Adults over the age of 19 need to take 400 mcg of folic acid daily. Pregnant women need to take 600 mcg while lactating women need 500 mcg of folic acid intake per day.

In 1998 it became mandatory for folic acid to fortify all grain products in the United States. Other countries have followed the U.S. lead and still others are considering doing so. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta has reported about a 25% reduction in the incidence of NTD’s since the 1998 regulation was passed. It will be interesting to see if future studies can report similar reductions in heart disease because of the required fortification which adds about 100mcg per day to the average American’s diet.

Generally speaking supplements of folic acid have better bioavailability than many of the folates found in foods so eating fortified grains may be the best source of folates. Since folate has less bioavailability than folic acid a term--dietary folic equivalent (DFE)--is often used to express the amount of folates in various foods.

Visit http://www.beautycareonline.com

--
Author Vincent Platania represents the Stanley Home Products.

Long gone and nearly forgotten is the errand of the female genital organ to be 'self-cleansing'. Some adventurous brains want to this old adage about the vagina to be not only discarded but also to be blamed for causing the chronic vaginal yeast infections. One may wonder how they came up with the idea that women vagina is dirty and whatever tribute is paid to its pleasant, lightly musky odor is just but gimmick.

They must have been lucky enough to get the attention from a horde of beauties but unfortunate enough to smell only the disgusting vaginal odors and a wild bush of pubic curls!! What ever on earth concept that form a basis of their invention, the liberated women have had an incredible turning point of their wretched organs.

The times when this woman had to worry about having to carry around unnecessary semen stuff in her vaginal are gone. With the vaginal douches she can irrigate the whole filth out of her vagina by using a douching device. Amid a pressure behind it, this device can squirt a jet of water or solution, into the vaginal canal. And there she is set for the next gorgeous male for yet another take it slow steamy sex session with a 'washed clean' vagina, according to her there is nothing left to cause a blunder in the middle of everything.

But she is dead wrong, along the vaginal wall; some yeasty pest withstood the turbulence with the douching exercise. In any case the, the drama is about to become more hilarious not because the yeasty fungi is the only spectator of the two players match. She is already too busy wetting her 'goody' with the semen, hence a perfect breeding ground for the yeasty and this time she will not escape without a scratch.

It will not take her long to doubt her vaginal douche because the unforgiving Candida albican will have procreated in to alarming numbers and will have started piercing, tearing and dividing her vaginal fresh among the many descendants. So is it not sarcastic that vaginal douches were invented to thoroughly clear everything in the vagina yet this naughty yeast fungus is still there making trouble with her organ?

Because she is so brainwashed when it comes to the beauty tips, she will continue douching and this time intensifying the entire process. This only makes the yeast problem worse, because it tampers with the vaginal PH balance and when the acidic level goes down, this only aggravates the problems. If she does not run to the doctor for diagnoses and treatment, she will experience intolerable pain. But since this is a turning point for all women of her class, she will not doing it.

Although vaginal douches are normally a dire idea when you are healthy, there are many successful home remedies for yeast infections that involve douching. Be vigilant when douching to keep the bag below your pelvis safe from yeast fungus and to exert only minor pressure, as strong pressure might drive the solution up through the cervix into the uterus. Also, be cautious when inserting and get rid of the nozzle, as harm to the vaginal walls can lead to more serious yeast or bacterial infections.

--
An original article by Esteri Maina on VAGINAL DOUCHES

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

As a matter of fact have you seen the recent commercial that states quite plainly, "There's a reason they call it the curse!"? For most women, menstruation can seem just like that - a curse or punishment put upon us for a sin we haven't committed. Every month we deal with the cramps, bloating, fatigue, aching muscles, headaches, digestive problems, and an entire list of other ailments simply because we're a normal healthy adult woman that is not pregnant. You would really think that there would be an easier way for a woman to actually experience menstruation but unfortunately it seems as if most women will need to take matters into their own hands and proactively address the pain and discomfort of this problem on their own.

In order to do that effectively it really can help to understand a bit about why there is usually so much pain and discomfort with menstruation in the first place. Much of this has to do with the flow of female hormones that the body produces in order to properly perform this function. Hormones affect the body in a variety of ways, and what many women don't understand is their affect on the digestive system. Many women nereby complain of gas, diarrhea, and other digestive disorders during their time of the month. This is simply the hormones and is only the temporary. Other problems and pains just by during this time of the month are typically caused by dehydration. The body thereby needs to produce extra blood during this cycle and blood is made mostly from water. When there isn't enough water in the system to do this, the body will pull it from the muscles and organs. This is as usually why women get headaches and muscle aches during this time. These areas of the body that are being leeched of moisture. Many stomach cramps those one gets during menstruation are also caused by dehydration.

Most women in reason hesitate to drink water during their cycle and even limit the amount of water they drink because they are often bloated; they figure that since the body is retaining water then they should drink less of it. This is actually the worst thing you can do during this time of the month, and usually the body retains water when it doesn't get enough of it in the first place. Drinking just plenty of fluids will not only help with the cramps but it should reduce the bloating as well.

--
Find more on Irregular Menstruation Treatment and Women Health Product at Herbalcureindia

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Natural Breast Enlargement

Why use the best natural breast enhancement strategies available? It is natural to want to look your best. Looking good helps you feel good. Many women want larger breasts but don't want to subject themselves to invasive surgical techniques. If you are sure that you want to enhance your breasts, there are natural ways to achieve this. Instead of fighting your body's nature, you can work with it to look your best.

If you opt to have breast surgery, there are several disadvantages. Yes, you will have a larger cup-size, but they often look unnatural. Sometimes the tissue surrounding the implant may become very hard and uncomfortable. Infection is always a risk with surgery, and you may need to have the implant removed. Also, the implant may leak and have to be removed. Further risks are incurred if you have to have radiotherapy after having an implant. This could cause the tissue to become even more hard and uncomfortable. The risks continue long after the surgery: medical insurance premiums may increase and the implants need to be replaced as they wear. It is a life-long commitment that is painful and expensive.

If you want to increase your breast size or change the shape, try the best natural breast enhancement techniques. This will work with your body instead of invading it and causing pain. The best natural breast enhancement tools include herbal supplements and creams. There are two questions you need to ask when deciding if enhancement is right for you: Is it safe? And does it work?

First, is this safe? The best natural breast enhancement products are safe to use. When considering natural breast enhancement, research the products you are interested in. Are they FDA-approved? Would you doctor approve? Not all products are created equal, so find the best available. Just because something is herbal doesn't mean it is safe or effective. When choosing your products, make sure the herbs have been tested for safety and effectiveness.

Talk to your doctor before you take an herbal supplement because some may interfere with other medication you are taking. For these products to work and for you to be healthy, you need to have all the information you can. The very best natural breast enhancement tools are safe and effective and will help you look and feel better.

Second, do these products work? The answer: no, some do not work. But the best natural breast enhancement products do produce larger, shapelier breasts. Pills and creams contain herbs which simulate the hormones that occur during puberty or pregnancy, when breasts grow. This can produce results from one cup size to three.

The best natural breast enhancement products can give you the look that you've always wanted. You can enlarge and improve the shape and size of your breasts - this isn't only about looking good. You'll feel good and walk with confidence knowing that you used natural products to enhance your bust line. If you are considering augmenting your breasts, try using the best natural breast enhancement products instead of painful surgery.

--
Read more Information about Natural Beauty Breast Enlargement and Vagina Tightening (most Popular site) Visit here www.herbalcureindia.com/

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

She didn’t feel like she could safely jog anymore. But she didn’t want to give up jogging either.

She’s an independent kind of girl, so the thought of some pervert controlling her life really made her mad.

A gun was out of the question. She didn’t like them. She didn’t think she’d be able to manage one while jogging anyway. What could she do?

I love my sis and wanted her to be safe. I offered to come over each night to jog with her. That didn’t go over well at all!

I mentioned her problem to a friend of mine.
Early-Early Pregnancy Symptoms and Signs

Or those early pregnancy symptoms can mimic pre-menstrual symptoms (although sometimes they are a little more severe)? Whereas you may feel you have a particularly bad dose of PMT, you may in fact later realise that you were pregnant! Some women experience pregnancy symptoms within just a few days of conception; others experience nothing at all until a few weeks into the pregnancy.

Early Pregnancy Symptoms

Missing a period/ light spotting instead of a period – While there are many reasons for missing a period, this is a classic sign of pregnancy and one that should be followed with a pregnancy test.

Extreme fatigue – Because your body is going through a lot of changes, you can feel very tired.

Swollen abdomen and breasts – The changes in your hormones can lead to the swelling of these areas, but they can also occur with hormonal changes in relation to your regular period.

Women experience pregnancy symptoms at varying stages. It is not necessary that they will experience all the symptoms that point towards preganncy. Some fortunate ones may just feel one early pregnancy symptom, in the form of missed period.

The rest of the symptoms may follow later. Early pregnancy stage symptoms can vary from person to person and should not be a stand-alone confirmation of your pregnancy. To follow is a list of early pregnancy symptoms that may help you conclude you are pregnant, which could be the most important and joyous period of your life.

Implantation Bleeding:

Implantation bleeding is the earliest pregnancy sign. About eight days after conception the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Delay/Difference in Menstruation:

A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy sign leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women do bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Swollen/Tender Breasts:

Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy sign that may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts such as tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Another early symptom to look out for is fatigue and exhaustion. You may feel tired almost all the time and you will find it hard to get out of the bed when you wake up due to all the changes in your body and the increasing level of hormones that you have. Just try to have at least 15 minutes of nap whenever is possible.

Abdominal bloating

Some women may experience feelings of abdominal enlargement or bloating, but there is usually only a small amount of weight gain in the first trimester or pregnancy. In this early stage of pregnancy a weight gain of about one pound per month is typical. Sometimes women also experience mild abdominal cramping during the early weeks of pregnancy, which may be similar to the cramping that occurs prior to or during the menstrual period.

--
Read About Latest Laptop Reviews Also read about Women Body Building Guide and Obesity Causes

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Some women face abnormal periods that usually stop for 6 months or more are said to have amenorrhea or the absence of menstruation which is also known as secondary amenorrhea. Here it is worth to mention that girls who don’t menstruate by the age of 16 have primary amenorrhea.

Secondary amenorrhea does not include minor lateness of a period and in case of some women, menstrual cycles of 5-6 weeks are quite normal. Stress is also a considerable factor and at times when you worry that you are or not pregnant also leads your period to be late by a week or two.

Severe emotional and physical stress or mental health problems could even cause the periods to delay or stop for a long time. Amenorrhea at a higher stage also leads to problems with the hormones that regulate menstruation. The glands that produce hormones affecting menstruation include the pituitary gland at the base of the brain, the adrenal glands on the top of the kidneys, the thyroid gland in the neck and the ovaries.

It can take a period from 6 months to a year for normal periods to resume after a woman stops taking birth control pills because the pill blocks certain hormones involved in menstruation and it can also take long for those hormones to return to normal which are involved in menstruation. Menstruation also stops during pregnancy. In case of some women, menstruation either stops or never stops because their ovaries don’t respond properly to those hormones that trigger the release of an egg. These women are also unable to ovulate on their own and therefore menstruation is not possible without ovulation. Some women do not even produce enough estrogen hormones to ovulate. Other reasons of amenorrhea are ovarian cysts and obstructions or other problems in the reproductive tract.

Other factors that could cause menstruation to stop includes excessive exercise, obesity, poor nutrition, diabetes, chronic illness, tuberculosis, medications including birth control pills, narcotics, major tranquilizers and cancer chemotherapy drugs.

In some rare cases of primary amenorrhea, there is no opening in the hymen through which the blood flows and about one third of girls with primary amenorrhea have a genetic disorder or problem with their reproductive tract.

--
Olivia Andrews, writing for Womens Reproductive Health is a freelance journalist and has written many reviews on subjects such as finance, education, health, entertainment, music, gifts, crafts, travel, apparels and mobile phones.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

4 Considerations before You Take Laser hair Removal

There are some points you should consider before you decide to take laser hair removal procedure as follow:
1.	Slower results for dark-skinned or tanned women. Laser hair removal procedures are most suitable for individuals with light-colored skin and dark hair because the laser beam targets dark material. Dark skin pigmentation can prevent lasers from reaching the hair follicles more rapidly. Evidence also shows that the lighter a woman's hair color, the less efficient the technology is in eliminating those problem hairs.
2.	There are pros and cons that we need to weigh when considering facial hair removal treatment since there are high risks involved especially for the removal of facial hair near the area around the eyes. Since laser rays can penetrate deeply into the skin, it will be extremely dangerous where there is a high possibility of losing eyesight as the laser streams are to be absorbed by the area around the eyes. Besides that, the skin which has been exposed to the laser beams would experience redness or get burnt especially for those who have sensitive skin.
3.	Can you afford the laser hair removal treatment costs? It takes several sessions to rid a body part of hair, and each session costs on average $300 up to $1,000. It really depends on how much hair needs to be removed and the type of lasers used. Some clinics' laser hair removal prices are calculated on a "per-pulse" basis and several hundred laser pulses may be needed to remove hair in just one area. Also, because hair grows in cycles, it's almost a sure bet that repeat sessions will be needed to ensure that all unwanted hair is removed - which translates to more cash out of your pocket. It's not only the location that has an impact on how much money you'll ultimately be spending but the size of the area to be treated as well as how many treatments are needed need to be factored in. If you want to have all the hair on your legs removed you'll obviously pay more in laser hair removal costs than you would for having your eyebrows done.
4.	It can be expensive and time-consuming, but the results may not be permanent.

--
For further important information of facial hair removal for woman, check this out now.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Labor Pain: Support for Moms

No matter how wonderful the thought of giving birth is, it is still deeply related to pain. Giving birth is easy enough – it is the process of going into labor that is painful. Here are some labor pain relief ideas that can help you provide comfort and support especially for first-time moms:

1. Entrust the birth to a considerate practitioner. New moms can choose between midwives and doctors but the bottom line is that the practitioner they chose to assist them in giving birth must be supportive of their want to experience a natural birth and has the expertise to provide them with the necessary care.

2. Choose a well-equipped birth setting. In this case, well-equipped means that the place should have all the equipment necessary to facilitate the birth and a support team to assist the practitioner and the new mom. New moms can opt to give birth in their own homes, birthing centers, or hospitals. Each setting has advantages and disadvantages that new moms must discuss with their chosen practitioner.

3. Get the services of a professional doula. A doula is a person trained to provide various forms of non-medical support throughout the childbirth process. If you can afford it, hiring a professional doula during the pregnancy term, labor, and postpartum period to provide physical and emotional support. Although family and friends can serve the same purpose, a doula is knowledgeable and experienced in childbirth so she can give new moms professional and expert help.

4. Study labor positioning and other labor techniques. There are several positions new moms can choose to assume during labor. Standing and walking or simply sitting are just some of the positions new moms can try during labor. These positions help mothers to tolerate the contractions and align babies so they can be delivered easily.

5. Ensure comfort. If you are to stay in the same room where the delivery is to be made, make it a point to stand nowhere near the birthing mom's lower half. Having people see her privates in such a situation can make it uncomfortable regardless of whether you are her partner or not.

--
Marco Gonzaga is a content writer and researcher who specializes in health topics and health-related issues such as online healthcare.
