The Engineers of Chaos - How Recessions are Created

A Recession doesn’t just sort of happen.

It is not a natural disaster on the order of a hurricane or a volcano. A Recession is man-made. It comes about when there is a shortage of money in the economy. As men create money and spend it into circulation, money supply is entirely under human control. It becomes scarce because someone MAKES it scarce.

So, how is a recession created?

Simple: by choking off money supply. And how is that done in the modern world? By tightening up on bank lending, a so-called Credit Crunch.

A smoke screen of complexity has been created to hide the essential crime from view but that is what is at the basic of our economic trouble.Money circulates in our modern economy because BANKS (not government!) create it out of thin air and lend it to thee and me and thus it gets into circulation. In other words, the global economy at this time is running on interest-bearing DEBT, not money! You can no more fuel an economy with debt than you can fuel a car with paint thinner – it will tend to cough, splutter and die!

This is a thoroughly daft system and GUARANTEED to get us all into trouble, while enriching the money creators, the banking cartels. In fact it delivers into the hands of the banking cartels total dominion over the world’s economy and the power to manipulate it at will.

Money circulates in the economy because it is brought into existence by bank lending, if you constrict the amount of money being lent to people, you reduce the amount of money getting into circulation. When you do that, you create recession. That's all a recession is: a shortage of money in circulation.

Our governments could end this travesty tomorrow simply by taking it upon themselves to CREATE money and spend it into the economy, which is what everybody THINKS government is doing but it isn’t!

The economy needs $200 billion to re-inflate it? Fine. Print the money and spend it. But governments don’t. Governments allow private-profit banks to create the money, then borrow the newly created money off the banks. Then later repay it to the banks AT INTEREST creating a further, greater money shortage requiring a new round of money creation.

That’s why we’re in trouble. It’s just a scam. And our “leaders” are in on it if only by virtue of the fact that they could end this nightmare tomorrow and let us all get on with the business of living. But they don’t. They let us go on suffering needlessly. It’s a straight choice.

I don’t know about you but I’m getting a bit fed up with being mucked about.

--
I want you to survive and care about what happens to you.
Support the troops?

Now that the RNC is, thankfully, over, I would like to make an observation while shaking my index finger in a scolding manner for those of you that are even thinking of voting Republican in the forthcoming election. Especially those of you that are the “support the troops” variety.

The Republican sure did make every effort possible to give the faux appearance of being pro troop or pro veteran. I guess I should also shake my finger at the main stream media in attendance because they seemed to be in some intoxicated euphoria, hanging on every Republican lie, not challenging a single thing. Not saying, as I no doubt would, WTF are you guys talking about.

From what I did painstakingly see of the RNC confirmed my thoughts about a party going down for the third time, drowning in a cesspool of lies, perversions and criminal activity of their own making. But hearing all the support the troop’s rhetoric really seemed to infuriate veterans from wars past and present with offense after offense after offense.

As Joe Biden would say, their silence was deafening. The part that stuck out most in my mind was that the GOP candidate for President, you know the war hero, was one word mentioned about taking care of those that have served when they come home. Based on his record in voting for benefits for those that served, who could blame him.

But with exploding rates of cases of PTSD, suicide, homelessness, among other problems these American citizens face, it is a problem that must be addressed. Especially from our next President. But form the Republican candidate – not a single word was spoken.

Not one.

Which is not really that uncommon from Republicans. People that consider themselves Republican have committed many sins in regards to support the troops including Rush Limbaugh’s phony soldiers accusation against servicemen that disagreed with Bush’s tragic failed policies on Iraq and Afghanistan. Remember that outpouring of Republican support for the troops they say they love so much?

And who could forget their fake outrage when General Wesley Clark pointed out that being a POW does not qualify a person for Presidential duty or Donald Rumsfeld’s insulting “we go to war with the army we have” comment or the biggest insult to American troops: Walter Reed and the underfunding of Veterans Administration.

But it doesn’t end there. The straight talk express seems to speak with a forked tongue. Allow me to point out that:

The Republican candidate voted against the Webb amendment calling for adequate troop rest between deployments.

The Republican candidate voted against an amendment that would provide $20 million to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for health care facilities.

The Republican candidate voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion in FY 2007 to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.

The Republican candidate voted to table an amendment by Senator Dodd that called for an additional $322,000,000 for safety equipment for United States forces in Iraq.

The Republican candidate urged other Senate members to table a vote (which never passed) to provide more than $1 billion for National Guard and Reserve equipment in Iraq related to a shortage of helmets, tents, bullet-proof inserts, and tactical vests.

The Republican candidate voted against increasing the amount available for medical care for veterans by $650,000,000.

When it comes to their claim to support the troops, the Republican candidate and his party are flat-out liars.

The message is simple - if you really support the troops, stop voting Republican and bring them home.

--
http://www.fedupamerican.com

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Hillary Clinton: Soft-pedaling Immigration

Hillary Clinton could be among the Democratic Party's most likely candidates to win the 2008 elections. With a number of opinion polls released giving her top ratings—better in fact, than some of the other more senior, experienced candidates in the race—America may be on its way to having the first lady president sworn in, in her history.

Her supporters say Hillary Clinton has what it takes to win: she is smart, exercises discipline, and, as even her detractors agree, she is tough. These credentials are sure to endear her to voters, especially women, who comprise over 54 percent of the electorate, and help them put behind the unsavory memories of Whitewater, Monica Lewinsky, and Travelgate.

What may run against Clinton is her own inability to be sure of what she wants. For instance, earlier in 2003, Clinton had made her strong stance against illegal immigrants public, saying, "I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants". She had even suggested issuing national ID cards for citizens to counter the growing presence of illegal immigrants.

But since early 2006, it was a completely different story as Clinton pressed for citizenship for illegal immigrants in the country. She criticized the tough stand on immigration taken by certain Republicans, and their "one-sided solutions that simply sound tough". Instead, she advocated, the government needed to create a path to help hard working immigrants earn citizenship. The problem is, that a candidate who is so unsure of her own mind, is not likely to instill much faith in the electorate.

--
The 2008 Presidential Elections is a burning issue of USA. What may run against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is her own inability to be sure of what she wants.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

National Intelligence Estimate – Al-Qaeda back stronger then ever – Who’s Kidding Who???

The Intelligence apparatus of the United States is required to publish what is referred to as the National Intelligence Estimate. It is a distillation of the major intelligence issues facing the United States as seen through the eyes of some 17 different intelligence organizations. One of the purposes of the National Intelligence Estimate is to CYA. If something bad were to happen, at the very least the bureaucracy could then point back and say, see, it was in the Estimate.

This latest one is very special in that you must read between the lines to understand what it is saying. Some of the key concepts are “US Homeland will face a persistent and evolving terrorist threat over the next three years. …Main threat comes from Islamic terrorist groups and cells, especially Al-Qaeda. Group has protected or regenerated key elements of its Homeland attack capability, including: as a safe haven in the Pakistan Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). We assess that..Al-Qaeda’s association with Al-Qaeda Iraq’s helps Al-Qaeda to energize the broader Sunni extremist community, raise resources, and to recruit and indoctrinate operatives, including for Homeland (meaning United States) attacks.”

This is not what you said Two Years Ago, Mr. President!!!!

In the last National Intelligence Estimate two years ago, Al-Qaeda was on the run, broken up, being smashed. There was supposedly a direct link between the war in Iraq and the lessened threat level presented by Al-Qaeda. This is why we say; you must read between the lines of the latest estimate. If things were so bad for Al-Qaeda just two years ago, how could they have to quote the document, “REGENERATED”? What were we doing, sleeping at the switch.

Let’s Look Back a Moment

1)	We had Bin Laden trapped in Afghanistan after the 9/11 tragedy, absolutely trapped. Instead of finishing the man and his people with our own troops who were present and capable of doing the job, we paid the local trial leaders in American $100 dollar bills to do the job. Bin Laden paid them more, and escaped successfully with his underlings to the safety of the Pakistani mountains where he is today.

2)	We have given President Musharraf over $10 billion in cold American currency to finish Bin Laden and he never got the job done. He constantly gives lip service to the task, but nothing happens. In fact, Musharraf cut a deal with the chieftains protecting Bin Laden to let them administer these provinces, and now the chiefs have not adhered to their side of the bargain.

3)	President Bush has always stated that this country is safer because we went into Iraq. This latest National Intelligence Estimate does not agree with that assessment, although the intelligence agencies will not say so directly. The fact that Al-Qaeda has reconstituted itself and is bigger and stronger than ever clearly tells you that the resources, which have gone into Iraq, were a diversion from the real war on terrorism, which is Al-Qaeda.

For more on this topic, please see our expanded article on our website

--
Richard Stoyeck’s background includes being a limited partner at Bear Stearns, Senior VP at Lehman Brothers, Kuhn Loeb, Arthur Andersen, and KPMG.
With every new election or new politician there's always an unlimited number of promotional items that hit the market. From pins for your clothes and accessories to pens to write with the items cover everything imaginable you use almost every day.

The most popular promotional items have got to be t-shirts. Every band and most movie stars have ended up on someones chest at one time or another! Politicians are no different, stores both online and in shopping malls carry t-shirts that feature both supportive and derogatory captions of this year's nominee.

Whether you like Obama or not, you can't help but to see him on a daily basis. If you don't see him on the news or a web site, you'll most likely see him on someone's shirt! While some political promotional items have became popular collectibles over the years, most people buy them to simply support their favorite candidates.

Of course, the candidate that you're supporting might not be the one on your shirt. Since there are as many t-shirts that are meant to make fun of the political figure on the shirt as there is shirts that support them.

One very creative t-shirt features a very good likeness of Obama that is made entirely out text! The words he said in his "Yes we can" speech, were combined together to form the candidates face! The last part of his New Hampshire primary speech is detailed into his own image and even legible!

From "Obama is my Homeboy" to simple shirts that just say, HOPE! No matter how you want to express your support in the coming election, there's an Obama T-Shirt available that will express exactly how you feel.

For any fans of superheros that just happen to be an Obama fan, there's a bright yellow t-shirt featuring Obama soaring through the air as Superman! And, if Superman isn't one of your favorites, there's a t-shirt with Obama as the popular Transformer Optimus Prime?

Of course, not all of the t-shirts available feature Obama as the "hero" of the future. If your views and opinions just don't happen to match up to Obama's, then may a "Count Barackula For President" shirt might be more to your liking!

Wearing novelty t-shirts is a great way to express your opinion without even saying a word! And, while you may not have the time or be able to get out on the campaign trail yourself, you'll be campaigning every time you wear your t-shirt in public.

If you want to get the whole family in on the election, do it with t-shirts. Not only can you find them in endless colors and sizes, you'll also find t-shirts in children and baby sizes as well.

And, if after you've checked out all of the t-shirts available and still not found the exact one that says how you feel, you can even have one customized. Some places allow you to customize your shirt to display your own special sentiment!

--
Help support Barack Obama by wearing a shirt There's many designs to choose from and the selection is always growing. Many Barack Obama T-Shirt designs are available in sizes for babies all the way up to 6x, and in many colors and styles. Take a look around, and get a t-shirt that fits you best.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

The 21st century has now met the 14th century in real time and although the result sounds like a page out of “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” this is real life in real time this week in America and the rest of the world.

If the incredulity were not thick enough then comes one of the so called “moderate” Muslims to speak to Fox Newsmen Bill O’Reilly on the Factor November 30, 2007. He insists that moderate Muslims around the globe condemn this kind of extremism but when asked which Muslim country or moderate Muslim organization has been heard from specifically, he has no answer.

Lebanese born anti-Muslim extremist activist Brigitte Gabriel steps up to bat on the show. She lambastes the silent moderates in the US and levels a scathing indictment against the wishy washy attitude of America about the “peaceful religion.” Gabriel is not shy. She has been heard on many shows and forums decrying the American penchant for “political correctness.” Why can’t she be running for pres in Hillary’s place?

Our new fervor to appear tolerant, diversified and open is costing us the truth and creating a society of wimps and X generation puppets that never stand up for anything but fun and entertainment. While being entertained Americans are also enjoying the right to be wholly involved with life, liberty and the pursuit of licentious happiness.

Not only does nothing hinder America but it is consoling for the “my cup runneth over” crowd to see that most of the “extreme” behavior is limited to “over there.” The only inconvenience an American may have to endure is the rise of a degree or two in the temperature at least according to Al Gore.

We rake our preachers and prophets over the coals and demand they explain every penny spent in the promulgation of the gospel and along comes a main line American movie distributor helping to put a $150,000,000 anti-Christian film (The Golden Compass) in the very faces of our children.

When the Muslim prophet (so called) might be insulted by a middle aged school teacher no one asks the government for a permit to march, no one checks with an editor to see if it’s politically correct and no one calls for restraint and calm. What they do is carry banners calling for the execution of the dangerous little old school teacher from Pasadena.

Such allegiance could only be hoped for among the great prophets, preachers and evangelist America has produced over the last 200 years. The Muslims would never say so much as a word against their prophet and are willing to execute anyone who does. Such total sycophantism is always suspect in the light of the Biblical warning given in Luke 6:26 “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.”

I have contended for years that America wouldn’t know if it had a real prophet if he or she bounced off their noses. The treatment given to America’s evangelists and preachers today is just a little bit shy of a good old fashioned stoning. This will be our loss in more ways than one.

God will continue to send people like Jerry Falwell, Franklin Graham, Ron Luce, Ray Comfort, Bill Keller, John Hagee and many more but we will continue to do what mankind has done for centuries. We will run them out of town, mock them, make fun of them, call them every name in the book and even kill them. (Yes, death threats have been leveled at many of America’s evangelists and preachers.)

Real prophets will get the bums rush while false prophets who need protection from little teddy bear naming school teachers will inspire crowds of screaming men clad in white calling for the death of the school teacher infidel. After the raging crowd disperses they no doubt go home and beat their wives in accordance with the latest wife beating instructions from the Imam.

God forbid that it be said of America what the martyr Stephan once said to Israel. When it gets to this point we are only a breath away from the judgment we have been flirting with for about a generation. What are those words?

Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? And they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers. Acts 7:52

--
Rev Michael Bresciani is the author of two books and is a columnist for several online and print publications. They're just that close now.

A strong libertarian campaign -- especially one with a Nevadan on the ticket -- focusing on two issues that have particularly vexed Bob Barr could easily make the difference.

Same-sex marriage: Both states have incorporated marriage apartheid into their constitutions in the 21st century (Nevada with 2002's Question 2 and Colorado with 2006's Amendment 43). However, significant portions of Nevadans (33 percent) and Coloradoans (44 percent) opposed those measures.

Marijuana, medical and otherwise: Both states allow medical marijuana. Significant portions of Nevadans (44 percent) and Coloradoans (40 percent) voted for broader legalization in 2006.

If Barr is interested in seizing the balance of power in Colorado and Nevada, he might do well to come out strong on these issues -- and ditch the Dixiecrat-style "states rights" reservations he's previously attached to them. What works in "the Solid South" doesn't necessarily work out west.

It's a safe bet that at least 2 percent of Colorado and Nevada voters:

a) support marriage equality;

b) support cannabis legalization;

c) consider both issues important; and

d) fit into the "true conservative" demographic that Barr (like Ron Paul before him) has geared his to appeal to so far.

I have to disagree with Novak and Carney on Georgia. Although most polls have shown McCain well ahead in that state, the latest InsiderAdvantage/PollPosition poll [PDF] has them in a virtual dead heat ... with Barr's share covering the spread ten times over!

That poll may be an outlier or it may indicate the start of a lasting trend, but let's be honest here: The outcome in Georgia probably hinges on black voter turnout, and Barr has a tough row to hoe there. The most interesting crosstab on the poll above is that Barr's support among black voters (Georgia's population is 30 percent African-American) is statistically insignificant (it registers as 0.0 percent in the poll).

I'm not sure he can do anything about that ... but the things he might do are the right things to do anyway (apologize for consorting with, and repudiate, the white separatist "Council of Conservative Citizens," concentrate on the drug war, throw the "states rights" nonsense overboard, etc.).

My bet is that Georgia's going to be a close state this time. It will probably come down to how well the Democrats do their job of getting African-American voters to the polls for Obama ... and quite possibly to whether or not Barr can hold his ground and maybe even take some more ground between now and November.

--

Thomas L.
Obama says the McCain campaign is pointing to the wrong issue by bringing up his association with, racists, haters and domestic bombers. It’s the economy says Barack! Is he asking Americans to suspend the time tested wisdom that we teach our children even to this day, namely that we are known by the company we keep? Apparently he is!

Let’s review sociology 101 for a brief moment. Are we comfortable when our kids bring home a kid who smokes pot or carries a knife? Do we rest easy when Junior decides to join a local gang instead of hanging with kids who are college bound? When Susie brings home a girlfriend all garbed in Gothic black and brooding aren’t we the slightest bit un-nerved? Of course not says Barack Obama, as long as Junior and Susie have enough money to spend and a nice home to come home to what difference do their associations make.

The question might seem foolish but no less than the answer Barack Obama is giving to America about his associations with Wright, Ayers, Farrakhan and others.

Obama helped to distribute grant money for Ayers (fifty million dollars) to promote radical thinking in Chicago schools and now says “I hardly knew the man.” When is the last time any average American got the purse strings on that much money from a person they didn’t know very well or at all? It sounds so absurd that for some of us it is as if we have a cartoon character running for President.

Should we collectively divert our attention to the economy as Barack says? Yes, if you’re willing to believe that the kind of judgment that disregards very bad associations will suddenly shine when it comes to sound fiscal policies.

The big cartoonish wooden mallet that pummels Obama may bounce off as he makes an instant recovery but in real life it just isn’t that way. We are now and always will be known by the company we keep. No amount of Obameristic Tom and Jerry-ism will change that even if it ends in a victory in November and a jolly “th- th- th, that’s all folks” from the president elect.

The proving ground for this fantasmical Barackian nonsense is America and the generation to come. That will cost more than even a good economy can afford.

Does America really believe that a partisan change in the white house and a little more change in their pockets will be any more important than changing a shirt if it brings in a man who spent twenty years at the feet of a racist pastor and says he didn’t notice the racism? Wouldn’t most of us expect to be called a liar if we made such a claim?

Change is what we need in America and we need it right now. We need to ask Sen. Obama to come clean and make a bit of a change in how gullible he thinks we are. But if some are among the true believers it is a change they will have to deal with a lot closer to home. It is a change in perception. For some Americans perception has become reality. Perception is not reality only the truth is reality and as long as we refuse to demand the truth from Sen. Obama we may drown in our own misguided perception, even if the economy is perfectly healthy.

People that are larger than life are often compared to Biblical characters as a means of quickly identifying their persona or their unusual accomplishments. In the new smash hit ‘Flash of Genius’ the inventor of the intermittent windshield wiper, Dr. Robert Kearns, is portrayed as a David and Goliath type character. Obviously Dr.Kearns played by Greg Kinnear is David standing up to his Goliath which is the giant Ford Motor Co.

Looking for a Biblical character to liken Barak Obama to has been hard up to now but Obama’s latest declaration about his association with admitted domestic bomber William Ayers definitely casts him as an Apostle Peter.

Christ had warned Peter that he would deny him three times before the rooster crowed. In the twenty sixth chapter of Matthews’s gospel Peter finished his third denial with the infamous words “I do not know the man.” Sounds a lot like our Jr. Senator from Illinois but with the exception that at least Peter later repented and admitted he was lying through his teeth.

Standing in a crowd and chanting, O-bam-a, over and over again may just get the initiated what they are calling for but what a price to pay. The Israelites chanting for Saul got a king they had been warned against who was almost as oppressive as their enemies. The Pharisees and the cronies they incited got a murderer, Barabbas, instead of the holiest man that ever lived. Funny about these biblical comparisons they often don’t flatter the likened to.

To Barack Obama and the crowd of sycophants that follow him should we not ask at least this very bare minimum question?

Shouldn’t Senator Obama be willing to try some of this ‘change’ on himself, before he tries to sell it to us?

--
http://www.americanprophet.org is the place for more articles, reports, movie and book reviews and much more.
