The latest in in home security cameras

Submitted by articles@outdoorcamerasecurity.com

The latest in home security cameras are quite inexpensive and work out much lesser in cost than a home close circuit TV system. These cameras are digital and have a unique network ID, meaning that they are IP based. These facts of the cameras being digital and IP based make them perfect for connectivity with computer networks and this serves a lot of unforeseen advantageous purposes. For one, they are integrated into an existing LAN or a local network that comprises of computers and they come with surveillance software which can be installed on any computer easily. This also means that they can be monitored over any computer on the network in the LAN or from anywhere in the world if connected to the internet, just like a webcam.
The digital feed coming from these cameras is encrypted and can be decrypted only by the software provided making them secure to work with. Added to this, since the cameras are digital they provide better resolution than their predecessors, the analog cameras.
In home security cameras are for use indoors and are built for the same purpose. Surveillance outdoors is normally expensive and the use of weatherproof cameras and IR capability is required. Since home owners are more interested in indoor surveillance, the digital cameras are a better and inexpensive option. These cameras can be connected to any hub or router and the images relayed can be used on any PC for recording on a HDD for future reference.
The controlling software is also very intelligent and downloads its own updates from the internet, if connected. In turn, the software is sent to the camera which updates itself. With so much futuristic technology involved, the in home cameras have evolved by becoming easier to use and inexpensive to buy, at the same time becoming more efficient.
