Mutual Gun Safes Can Protect Your Valuable Guns From Fire And Burglars

Submitted by wrgb

If you are a gun owner, a good gun safe is a necessity to restrict access to your guns and to protect them from fire and burglars. The Mutual line of gun safes fulfills all three of these requirements at prices that are very reasonable. Mutual gun safes are both fire and burglary rated and feature quality construction and convenient features.

These gun safes feature two layers of sheetrock-like material for fire protection. They also have a heat activated fire door seal. They carry a 1 hour fire rating. This means that these safes have been subjected to a 1760 degree F for a period of 1 hour, and the temperature inside the safe did not rise above 350 degrees F. This is a low enough temperature to protect your guns from permanent damage. Ammunition is safe to this temperature as well.

Mutual Gun safes are also built to fend off burglars. They feature massive one-inch locking bolts, four dead bolts facing the hinge side, one active bolt at the top, and at least four active bolts along the closing side. The lock is protected by a manganese hardplate and a spring-loaded relocker. These safes also feature two bolt down holes for 1/2" bolts in the bottom of the safe. These can be used to bolt the safe to the floor, making certain that it can't be carried off.

There are several models available in the Mutual line. The model MS-5922 measures 59" x 22" x 16" and provides storage for up to 22 rifles or shotguns. It features 10 total door bolts and a UL approved fire activated door seal. It is available with an optional interior which is all shelves. There is one shelf in the rack style interior. The MS-5922 is available with two types of locking mechanisms - a traditional mechanical dial lock and an electronic keypad lock. The electronic keypad lock is more convenient, allowing you to open the safe by entering a PIN number on a keypad similar to the one found on an ATM or debit-card machine.

The Model MS-5930 measures 60" x 30" x 24" and features 6 horizontal and 2 vertical locking bolts. It has a 1-1/2" thick door lined with a UL approved fire activated door seal. It contains 16.0 cubic feet of storage and is available with a rack interior or with shelves. The rack interior provides storage for up to 22 rifles or shotguns, or 11 rifle or shotgun slots with shelving for ammunition and pistols. The MS-5930 is also available with either a mechanical dial lock or an electronic keypad locking mechanism.

The Model MS-6040 measures 60" x 40" x 24" and features a 1-1/2" thick door made of 10 gauge steel and lined with a UL approved fire activated door seal. It features 8 total locking bolts - 6 horizontal and 2 vertical. The interior is available with racks for up to 22 rifles or shotguns, or 11 rifles or shotguns with shelving. There is also an interior option for all shelves. There is a choice either the mechanical combination dial or the electronic keypad locking mechanism.
