A Cream Furniture Polish from Stanley Home Products May Protect Surfaces

Submitted by fullerstore

Furniture is expensive these days so taking care of it and ensuring that it looks beautiful for as long as possible is a good idea. Unfortunately, the market is full of cleaners and polishes that promise amazing results so making the right choice can be difficult. One of the less common options is a cream furniture polish, one variety of this type of cleaner is sold through Stanley Home Products, but it does have some advantages.

The most common type of furniture polish you're likely to see are those aerosol sprays. They certainly are easy to use: just point and hit the button then wipe away. But they have serious drawbacks which can damage your furniture surfaces. The solvents used to make those aerosols have been known to destroy the lacquer and the finish of surfaces when used repeatedly. Because those ingredients are not going to be found in a cream furniture polish, that's not a possibility.

Now that is a possibility with some types of liquid surface cleaners because they contain similar ingredients but end up on the furniture at a much higher amount than do aerosol sprays so they can cause problems for the furniture down the road. The Stanley Home Products cleaner, however, would be classified as a semisolid which can be applied and buffed off to leave behind a clean, undamaged appearance. The drawback is that a cream furniture polish which requires buffing is going to take a little more work.

While the type of cleaner is one concern, another is the type of ingredients added to the polish to make it work. For example, some liquid polishes include drying oils, such as walnut oil. While they can do a good job on cleaning and protecting the surface, once these oils dry on the surface, they are very difficult to remove which can lead to a dulling build up.

If possible, you might want to choose a cleaner made from non-drying oil, such as paraffin or mineral oil. Because these oils do not dry on the surface in the same way, they won't usually lead to build-up. The cream furniture polish which is available through Stanley Home Products, for example, contains mineral oil.

Another thing to look for in a good furniture polish is one that doesn't just clean or just protect. You want to use as few products as possible on the surface so look for ones that can provide a multitude of benefits, including cleaning, protecting, and even polishing. The cream from Stanley Home Products, for example, can do all three.
