Watch What You Eat
Diet is the single most important component in eliminating dangerous stomach fat. It is important to start eating healthy foods coming only from natural sources, like fruits, vegetables, organic meats and fish and nuts. You may choose to continue eating meats but only from the right sources. Consume more ideal food sources to get your protein, such as from low fat or non-fat milk, yogurt, egg whites, chicken breasts, fish and nuts. You can get carbohydrates from complex sources to keep energy up for longer periods of time. These types of carbohydrates also prevent starvation and hunger pangs such as brown rice, whole wheat bread and yams. You should also eat low glycemic fruits like papayas, bananas and apples. Some other vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals to include are green leafy vegetables and seaweeds. Some healthy nuts tend to lower cholesterol levels like almonds and walnuts. Exercise More Try to do some form of exercise, preferably cardiovascular, 3 to 4 times each week at 30 minutes per session or more. You should also do some form of weight training exercise, but be careful not to overtrain. If you want to get rid of stomach fat, try to do cardiovascular exercise, like jogging, fast walking or running. If going to the gym bores you, you should play sports instead or do activities that you enjoy. Play games like Frisbee, water sports, etc. with family and friends to make it more enjoyable. Rest More Your metabolism tends to slow down if you do not get adequate rest periods each day. You should aim for at least 7 hours of sleep, plus 30 to 60 minutes of nap time each day. If you have the chance to sleep, sit or just breathe deeply, grab the opportunity right in your workplace. De-Stress Stress also slows down your metabolism and increases the production of hormones that allow your body to store more fat than usual. Do anti-stress activities such as yoga, meditation, massage and the like to keep yourself feeling and looking great.
