We are all well aware of the importance of exercise. Studies constantly come out showing that exercise can reverse many serious health problems and increase our longevity. Americans spend more on health and exercise equipment than any other country. Yet few of us follow through on an exercise regime. The main reason for this is time. It can be hard to find time in a busy schedule to include an hour or more at the gym. By starting with a manageable schedule and choosing something you enjoy, you can begin an exercise program and stick with it.

Be sure to see your doctor before you begin your new exercise program, especially if you have not been active in a long time.

Start small

Begin your exercise regime slowly. Jumping in too fast can lead to injury which will definitely decrease your desire to stick with it. Do not expect too much too fast. Start out with small goals that you can measure.

Choose a small amount of time each day such as 10 minutes and schedule it into your daily routine. Do not let exercise to be the thing that gets cut out of your schedule when you get busier. Think of it as a regular part of your daily duties such as brushing your hair or flossing your teeth.

Before you begin, remember to do some warm-up exercises. Warming up prepares your muscles for the exercise and helps to prevent injury. Do about 5 to 10 minutes of jumping jacks or a slow jog. If at any time during your exercise you begin to feel pain, just stop. If you keep going it could lead to injury. Drink plenty of water before you start and have an extra glass if it's a hot day. Don't exercise on an empty stomach especially if you do your routine first thing in the morning.

Make it enjoyable

The most important thing you can do when starting an exercise regime is to choose something that you enjoy. If you have always wanted to learn to dance, sign up for dance lessons. Take a beginner aerobics course at a gym or join a tennis league. Aim for about 30 minutes of physical activity per day.

One of the best exercises for the beginner is walking. You can easily adjust the intensity and length of your workout, and increase both as you become more fit. It can be done at any time that best fits into your day. Studies have shown that walking can combat health problems such as diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Exercising can be especially valuable for women in combating bone loss which comes with age. As women get older they begin to lose about 1% of their bone mass per year. Following menopause it increases to 3% per year. Weight bearing exercise stimulates the bone to make new bone cells.

To enjoy the health benefits of exercise you have to make it part of your daily routine. Start by doing something you enjoy or even began with walking. Schedule exercise into your daily routine and do a little each day. Before you know it you will be healthier than ever before!

--
Kevin Kielty lives in North Carolina and writes articles on health insurance.
We have heard a lot of news recently about the alarming statistics on child obesity in the United States. Studies show that as much as 30 to 40% of children are obese. Health professionals report that they are seeing increasing numbers of children with health concerns that used to only affect adults, such as high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and hip problems.

By participating with your children in a regime of exercise, healthy eating and modeling good choices, you can help to keep them healthy for a lifetime.

Physical activity

One of the most important things you can do to help your child lose weight or prevent them from gaining weight, is to start an exercise regime. Get them started in a sport they like or take lessons after school. Consult your local parks and recreation department or do a search for children's sports in your area.

Take everyone out for a neighborhood walk after dinner, or for a hike on the weekend. Before starting any exercise, began with a warm up session of approximately 5 minutes of stretches or jumping jacks. Then head out for a walk or bike ride. Afterwards, have a cool down period of about five minutes to get the heart rate back to normal.

Have children help you with household chores and yard work. Take the stairs rather than the escalator or elevator whenever possible, and choose parking spots further out from the store to sneak in extras steps throughout the day.

A healthy diet

Slowly introduce healthier choices in to the family diet. Switch from white bread to 100% whole wheat bread, and exchange white rice up for brown rice for example. Let children help you with the cooking. They will be excited about eating something they helped to prepare. Limit their snacks to healthy choices. For example offer, baby carrots, sliced apples or grapes and do not have chips or candy around the house.

If kids do not take well to eating in the healthier foods, don't give up. It can take four or five times of trying a new food before kids will begin to eat them. Serve the foods that are naturally more sweet such as sweet corn or mandarin oranges.

Sit down together as a family for meals. Turn off the TV and do not allow other distractions. Switch to smaller plates to encourage eating smaller portions. Have mealtime be family time where everyone shares events from their day.

Model and a healthy lifestyle

Exercise and eat right to serve as a role model for a healthy lifestyle for your children. Have them exercise with you and play games that involve physical activity. When you sit down to eat a meal, don't just tell them to eat their fruits and vegetables but eat those healthy foods yourself.

Do not use food as a reward for your children or yourself. Keep lots of healthy foods on hand such as fresh fruit and cut vegetables. Have a picture of water in the refrigerator and do not purchase a sugary soft drinks. Limit the amount of time children are allowed to watch television and use the computer.

By taking an active part in getting your children involved exercise and healthy eating, as well as serving as a role model, you can help your children avoid obesity and help them live long and healthy lives.

--
Kevin Kielty lives in North Carolina and writes articles on health insurance.
If you are a person who has lived a life of normal activity, by middle age
you may experience some damage to your muscles as they become weaker through old age. It has been proven that as we get older we are more likely to experience damage to muscles, bursas and tendons. If you experience an injury or have an infection ,you may experience permanent discomfort. Most frequently the sum totals of our lives seem to show up as back aches, headaches, and muscle aches.

Perhaps by now arthritis is making itself felt. With the tender bursa at
the mercy of your old mattress, your sleep seems destined to make you even
more tired. If you share your bed with a mate, and have for some years, by
now the middle may be sagging. In fact, so may you. We tend to put on
weight as we age, making it even more difficult for our old mattress to
support our bulk. There comes a point where you have to consider making a change, for your health, general wellbeing and for the opportunity to have a good night's sleep. You may wish to consider purchasing a memory foam mattress.

It is time for a change. Memory foam is a special viscoelastic foam that retains a memory of impressions then returns to normalcy over time. It is dense, supportive, and will conform to the
shape of your body as it responds to heat and pressure to form its shape.
With a memory foam mattress and bed accoutrements, you will begin to get
the rest you need. With a good memory foam mattress, something on the
other side of the bed will not even move when you do. So your partner is
also comfortable. These mattresses are well-rated, and a bit more
expensive than traditional, but worth the cost in terms of your muscles
and bones. You'll sleep better and they'll feel better.

--
If you share your bed with a mate, and have for some years, by
now the middle may be sagging. In fact, so may you.
You may be in need of a new mattress without even realizing it. Many people think that it is often physical or emotional problems that may be affecting their sleep pattern. Often, most people don't consider it could be their mattress. There are many signs that can signal that purchasing a new mattress is in order.

In the morning, if you wake up and feel stiff or numb, then you may need a new mattress. You may also have aches and pains that you did not have before you went to sleep. Have you ever found yourself saying that you sleep so much better when you sleep in other places? Perhaps the reason is that you need a new mattress. Some other telltale signs of o worn out mattress include sagging and perhaps even damage to the mattress. If you mattress is over five years old, it may need replaced.

When deciding upon a new mattress, one type of consider is that of a memory foam mattress. Many people who have purchased memory foam mattresses find them the most comfortable mattress on the market today. Their unique design gives them certain qualities that put them ahead of the competition. Traditionally, coil spring mattresses have been commonly used by many. However, these mattresses place pressure against the body which can cause sleepers to have difficulty sleeping. Memory foam alleviates these pressure points that could cause you to toss and turn all night. By absorbing the body's weight, memory foam is able to conform to the contour of the body. This does not place pressure upon the body which contributes to a more restful night of sleep.

Purchasing a memory foam mattress is a wise choice for other health reasons. Alleviating the presence of pressure points is beneficial for arthritis sufferers. Less pressure is placed upon their joints and they get a much better night of sleep. Also, people suffering from back pain find the memory foam mattress helps support their back and they get a more restful night of sleep. So, if you've determined that it's time to purchase a new mattress, why not make yours a memory foam mattress.

--
When deciding upon a new mattress, one type of consider is that of a memory foam mattress.
It all started back in the mid sixties with a young engineer called Charles Yost. Sadly he died of pancreatic cancer in March 2005, however before then he enjoyed an exciting and fruitful career. Charles Yost was working for an aerospace company on the development of new airline seats that would absorb the stresses of an impact and thus improve the chances surviving a crash. For this he developed a modified viscoelastic polymer that was able to absorb the force of a high energy impact, yet remain soft much similar to memory foam. The material was adopted for aircraft seating as it improved safety and was much more comfortable than conventional foams as, due to its viscoelastic properties, it deformed to match the contours of the body thus providing a good distribution of pressure. He set up a company to produce and market the material in 1969.

Apart from aircraft seating, the material was used initially in medical applications primarily for orthopaedics where it was used with great benefit for handicapped and injured patients. A number of advances were made to the original design and special properties and structures were incorporated that could combine various desirable properties. It was subsequently used for veterinary applications

Developments of the technology have appeared in motorsport such as Formula 1 and NASCAR racing and motorbike saddles. Other sports that have made use of the technology include horse racing and eventing, water sports, archery, golf and football.

The technology was sold on to a Swedish company who developed it for the major commercial markets. As volumes increased prices fell and the material is now readily accessible. Its major application is for comfortable mattresses that combine support with the properties of conforming to the body contours. Advances are still being made to the properties of the material, and laminate structures incorporating a range of different foams are now available.

--
Charles Yost was working for an aerospace company on the development of new airline seats that would absorb the stresses of an impact and thus improve the chances surviving a crash.
Life Insurance for Storm Chasers

Storm chasing is the recreational pastime of seeking out extreme weather conditions with the aim usually being to satisfy a personal interest by photographing or videotaping the phenomenon. Although storm chasers rarely get paid for the activity, and are usually meteorologists or scientists acting in their spare time, the countless amount of documentary evidence they have produced has often gone on to benefit researchers, governments, and the authorities. So, if not affecting life insurance directly, do storm chasers receive higher premiums?

Tornadoes are the icing on the storm chaser’s cake, and although spotting one is not the most important goal of chasing, to be able to track and monitor the unpredictable nature of tornado for a significant period of time is considered a great achievement. Subsequently, the areas of the world (most notably, the mid-south east of the US) that experience frequent tornado activity are popular destinations for storm chasers. Risk-wise, although not as powerful as hurricanes, they are certainly more frequent (approximately 1000 per year). Therefore it is standard procedure in these areas to check whether your homeowner’s insurance covers tornado damage and to expect higher premiums because of it.

Thunderstorms are much more likely to be successfully ‘chased’ than tornadoes. Interestingly, despite the arguably high frequency of thunderstorms, the average chance of an American being struck by lightning is 1 in 576,000, yet expectedly, the chance for a chaser to be struck is far greater. So far no storm chasers have died, and it seems that the old adage of the car being the safest place to be has proved quite true as those that have been struck have been outside in close vicinity to wire fences and pylons that have conducted unexpected strikes.

Hurricanes, although rarer than the above, are no-doubt more dangerous and combine all the risks of the above. As a result of this, high risk areas are prone to needing hurricane insurance and this can include most of the US. Many of the most awe inspiring chaser photos are of flash floods and coastal areas during a hurricane as a cause of high precipitation and wind. This leads to the biggest risk for chasers, it not being the storm itself, but driving through severe wet weather (core punching) which can include heavy rain or even hail and making it incredibly treacherous for any driver. To date, the only recorded chaser death was caused by a car accident.

--
Visit Post Office® for life insurance quotes and to buy a simple, cost effective term life insurance policy, offering you a way to pay off your mortgage or leave your family a cash sum when you die.

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Feel Like a Million Bucks Just Drinking Coffee...

Discover the Healthy Coffee Difference... The difference is simple. The coffee you currently drink is "just coffee". It probably tastes great, warms your tummy and gives you that spike of energy you've come to rely upon. But again, it's just coffee. Healthy Coffee is coffee evolved...

We take premium blends of coffees, teas and cocoas and then fuse them harmoniously with one of the greatest organic gifts nature has to offer... Ganoderma. What we're left with are beverages that are unparalleled in taste, aroma, sensation and most importantly enrichment.

The 3-FOLD Enrichment

Enrichment is at the heart of what our company and entire line of products represents. Our End Result is "Enriched Living" and by definition this means adding greater value, restoring elements lost or depleted, and increasing desirable qualities to your life and your living.

A boost in energy is something every coffee drinker has come to expect from each cup of their warm brew. But how often is a single cup enough? How often is there an up, and then a down? For some, the energy coffee brings is even often described as the jitters. Not a pleasant condition in the least.

Healthy Coffee = ENERGY

Healthy Coffee offers a refined energy. A sustained, pure, and clean gusto that allows you to take-on the day's challenges with strength and vigor. It has the same amount of caffeine, but no jitters -- no ups and downs -- just a smooth and enduring zest. Something you simply don't get from normal coffee.

Revitalization literally means restoring vitality or ‘life' to your body. You've got to admit that's something that most of us want, right? Eating a healthier, more balanced diet and taking vitamins and supplements are steps towards revitalization, but often easier said than done.

Healthy Coffee = Vitality

Healthy Coffee is about merging your revitalization efforts with a behavior you already possess: drinking coffee. By combining a relatively undetectable botanical ingredient known as Ganoderma Lucidum with your favorite beverages, you get double the benefit. Great tasting coffee and hundreds of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals in each and every sip. No extra effort required. How's that for convenience?

Few would argue the point that coffee is indeed a "social" beverage. Consuming it can almost be an "experience" for many... an experience that sweetens through sharing with friends, family and colleagues. But the social benefits enjoyed through the sharing of normal coffee can often be short-lived and "in the moment".

Healthy Coffee = Sociability

Healthy Coffee brings with it a new dimension in sociability. Much like the energy our beverages provide, this sociability is one with sustained or recurring benefits. The act of sharing in and of it's self is personally rewarding, but Healthy Coffee's ingenious sharing model also rewards you financially -- and keeps on rewarding you financially as more and more people share the concept with others. Through the power of referral marketing, Healthy Coffee provides a vehicle for people to build a stream residual income by simply doing what they are already doing... sharing coffee!

There's a 50/50 chance you're among the ever-increasing group of North Americans that seek-out a cup or mug of coffee each and every day...maybe even several times a day.

Healthy Coffee picks-up where your current coffee leaves-off. Same gourmet taste, same comforting sensation, but then a whole lot more.
An Approach towards Teenage Fashionwear Market

Teenage Fashionwear Market Assessment Report ( http://www.bharatbook.com/Market-Research-Reports/Teenage-Fashionwear-Market-Assessment.html ) provides information of Teenage Fashionwere Market.

The market for youth fashion, which is analysed in this report, is estimated to be worth £9.93bn at retail selling prices (rsp) at the end of 2008, an overall growth of 14.9% since 2004. Defines this market as clothing, footwear and accessories for male and female consumers between the ages of 13 and 24. This is quite a long age span, but takes the view that the so-called `teenage' years have somewhat expanded, particularly at the lower end of the spectrum, since this report was last written in 2000 (when the market was defined as those aged 15 to 24).

Interest in fashion begins at a young age — and, as this report makes clear, boundaries are blurred between what is actually manufactured for teenagers, and similar fashions that are produced for so-called `tweenagers', i.e. younger consumers. At the older end of the spectrum, as well, it is perhaps difficult to ascertain a true demarcation between youth fashion and that targeted at older generations.

However, youth fashion does have its own identity, in the sense that it springs from the tastes and concerns of a highly ommunications-orientated generational group. Peer identity is strong, and the promulgation of cultural ideas and influences through the media and technology in the 21st century means that no teenager is left isolated in terms of understanding what his or her age group thinks and how it defines itself — and, most importantly, what it is necessary to buy in order to feel connected with other teenagers. Influences from music, sport and politics, to some extent, all feed into the designs and styles that clothing brands promote to young buyers, particularly young male consumers. Icons from the music and fashion worlds, as well as the celebrity circles, are highly influential as fashion role models, to young women in particular. Young people now have their own social network sites online, and a large majority regularly log on to these in order to connect with and chat to other users. The sense of a shared youth community is powerfully conveyed via sites such as Bebo and MySpace.

Young consumers who are still living at home often have quite high levels of personal disposable income to use to express themselves through their choice of consumer goods — not least through fashion. Thus, there is a thriving target consumer base here of highly impressionable and demanding young men and women.

Although the youth market for clothing remains a separate fashion segment in the sense of defining taste and responding to challenging fashion trends, it also sets the pace of change for older sectors, and affects designs in product ranges in the mainstream market. As already stated, the blurring between youth and adult fashion is often the result, but the youth market adds excitement to the whole clothing market.

Young women, in particular, are also benefiting from the growth in discount retailing. Retailers such as Primark and New Look operate on a fast turnover of cheap clothing, affording young women the opportunity to change their wardrobes with much greater frequency. This enables them to think about fashion much more in terms of self-expression than previous generations may have been able to. The accessories market, for instance, is extremely strong at the current time (November 2008). The idea of dressing up basic clothing with items such as belts, scarves and jewellery is particularly appealing to young people as a form of self-expression.

As with the clothing market in general, however, the teenage clothing market (especially the female sector) has been very susceptible to falling prices. Value growth has not been strong — and, in 2007/2008 in particular, some retailers have not shown their typical strong sales. Examples of this are Next (which is popular with young buyers but has experienced a slower rate of growth than previously) and French Connection. Other retailers, such as the Arcadia Group of fashion chains (Miss Selfridge, Topshop and Topman), continue to succeed in driving demand for challenging and trendy ideas in fashion and have been rewarded with relatively healthy growth rates considering the current economic slowdown.

The challenge for both retailers and brands is to align themselves with the emotional aspirations of young men and women. Many brands make this the cornerstone of their marketing and designs. Perhaps the most salient example of this is Diesel, which pioneers unusual marketing and sponsorship investment in the art and music world. Many brands also seek to make connections between technology and fashion. Some attempt to extend their product ranges into areas such as mobile telephones, or else to use mobile technology — particularly third-generation (3G) technology — as a channel for marketing and trend discussion. Others follow the trend set by the network providers such as Virgin and Orange, in sponsoring music events and thus aligning themselves even more closely with the fashion style of icons in the music world.

If the fashion industry is to continue growing, these strategies are likely to become even more sophisticated and cross-media. Advertising beyond traditional print and television media is likely to expand further — with increased and more effective use of the Internet, in particular, in order to tap into youth concerns and to affect choices.

For more information please visit : http://www.bharatbook.com/Market-Research/Fashion-and-Lifestyle.html

Or

Contact us at:

Bharat Book Bureau
Tel: +91 22 27578668
Fax: +91 22 27579131
Email: info@bharatbook.com
Website: www.bharatbook.com

--
http://www.bharatbook.com/Market-Research-Reports/Teenage-Fashionwear-Market-Assessment.html
http://www.bharatbook.com/Market-Research/Fashion-and-Lifestyle.html

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

The new national figures have just been released for drug use and addiction for 2007 and the news is not good. Nationally, nearly 20 million people (aged 12 and older) used an illicit drug each month, and more than 23 million were classifiable as needing treatment for alcohol or drug abuse. Only 2.4 million people actually got treatment leaving many millions in danger of losing their homes, their families, their health, their very lives.

But anyone who has been around an addict knows this fact: the addict is not the only one suffering. The families, the employers, teachers and friends of the addict suffer too. A survey done in 2004 showed that 63 percent of adults surveyed said that they had needed to grapple with the addiction of someone close to them, usually a family member. This means that in America, 142.5 million people struggled with someone’s addiction.

For many of those who did receive treatment, unfortunately, addiction rehab has a “revolving door,” meaning that many of those who go through rehab often repeat their trips to rehab over and over again.

“We have had people arrive at Narconon Arrowhead for treatment after ten or even twenty times through other addiction treatment programs,” said Derry Hallmark, Director of Admissions and Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor. Narconon Arrowhead is one of the country’s leading drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers in Canadian, Oklahoma. “The tragic thing is that it’s not necessary to go through treatment repeatedly if you get down to the bottom of the reasons for the addiction and address them thoroughly. That’s what the Narconon program is known for.”

The Narconon program utilizes a dry-heat sauna and a strict nutritional regimen to flush out the residues that drugs leave behind that may be involved in cravings, then employs counseling and life skills training to help a person recover their self-esteem and values that may have been destroyed by drug use.

“We want people to know that there is a holistic option for them, one that treats the whole person and that does not use drugs or psychotherapy,” added Mr. Hallmark. “Graduates of the Narconon program find drug-free success 70 percent of the time, and we want to make that fact known to all the family members and friends of those suffering from drug or alcohol addiction.”

--
If you know anyone who has a drug problem, please contact
Narconon Arrowhead

Source: http://www.articletrader.com

Becoming Vegan is an expression of one's profound reverence for life. It is a gradual process as we learn about the many sources of animal products in our lives. Becoming vegan is a transformational act, a decision both life-changing and life-affirming.

Practicing a vegan lifestyle is the single most important thing that we can do for animals, as well as for our health and it something that is in the power of each of us to do. It is also a wonderful way to start the new year, and not only is it a healthy decision for you, but it's also a healthy decision for our environment.

Veganism denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. Veganism works to expose and end the subtle indoctrination of industries that wish to desensitize humanity to the violence against the many for the gain of the few.

Vegans withhold economic and moral support from any enterprise that involves the abuse or exploitation of animals (such as zoos or circuses) or humans (such as sweatshops). Vegans also reject the use of living creatures as instruments or materials for teaching, scientific inquiry, entertainment, or other utilitarian purposes. Vegan clothing, shoes, outerwear, and accessories are either plant-based or synthetic, and do not wear or use leather or the skins, fur, feathers, shells, or secretions of any creatures.

Vegan foods, such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and beans, are low in fat, contain no cholesterol, and are rich in fiber and nutrients. Vegans do not consume eggs or dairy products, and avoid animal ingredients in clothing and other consumer goods.

Vegans cannot live by bean sprouts alone: Most new vegetarians and vegans significantly increase the amount and variety of fresh fruits and vegetables in their diet. Vegan milks: Soymilk and rice milk are most common, but vegan milks are also made from almonds or oats, with more varieties sure to come. Vegan milks are rapidly growing in popularity and can be found in nearly all supermarkets. Vegan cookies, donuts, candy bars and Pop Tart-like treats are readily available. Vegans eat about 40-50 grams of fibre per day (on average).

Veganism holds that simply because animals can’t speak English (or Spanish or Chinese or Russian) is not a valid reason to exploit them. Becoming vegan is the embodiment of meaningful activism. Veganism, the natural extension of vegetarianism, is an integral component of a cruelty-free lifestyle, and emerges as the lifestyle most consistent with the philosophy that animals are not ours to use.

Becoming vegan is one of the most environmentally responsible choices you will ever make, and one of the healthiest, and is the best thing you can do for your body and the healthiest. Becoming vegan is actually very easy, and while you might think you’ll miss the meat, I assure you, after a few weeks, you really won’t.

Article Written By J.
