Health and SafetySubmitted by j5payne Tue, 23 Sep 2008
Health and Safety nowadays is very important. But I do think it has gone over the top in some cases. There are hundreds of health and safety courses out there being offered by health and safety business's. But all courses do have to be accredited by either the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), The British Safety Council Awards (BSC Awards), and the Safety Pass Alliance (SPA).
I have been looking into what type of courses there is now and here is some of them: Accident / Incident Investigation Training Course Asbestos Awareness Training Course Auditing for Safety Training Course BSC Awards Level 2 Certificate in Supervising Staff Safely Training Course Confined Space Awareness Training Course The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations Training Course Controlling Contractors Training Course Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH) Training Course Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessor Training Course Environmental Management Training Course Exhibition & Event Health & Safety Awareness Training Course Fire Risk Assessment Training Course Hazard & Operability Studies (HAZOP) Training Course Introduction to Health & Safety Management Training Course Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) courses IOSH Managing Safely Training Course IOSH Managing Safely in the Exhibition & Event Industry Training Course IOSH Managing Safely in the Oil & Gas Industry Training Course IOSH Managing Safely Re-certification Training Course Manual Handling Awareness Training Course Manual Handling Instructors & Assessors Training Course Patient / Manual Handling Instructors & Assessors for the Care Industry Training Course National Exhibition Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) Courses NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health Training Course NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health Training Course Noise Assessment / Noise at Work Training Course Office Safety Training Course Permits to Work Training Course Presentation Skills Training Course Risk Assessment 1 day Workshop Risk Assessment 2 day Workshop Risk Assessment during Exhibition / Event Build-up & Break-down Training Course Safety Awareness for Employees Training Course Safety Awareness for Managers Training Course Safety Awareness for Directors Training Course Safety Awareness for Senior Executives Training Course Safety Awareness in the Exhibition & Events Industry Training Course Safety Pass Alliance (SPA) courses SPA Safety Passport Core Health & Safety - 1 day Training Course SPA Safety Passport, Food & Drink Industry Specific - 2 day Training Course SPA Safety Passport, Food & Drink Industry Specific Renewal - 1 day Training Course Safety Representatives and Safety Committees (Safety Improvement Groups) Training Course Safety Planning for Exhibitions & Events Training Course Training the Trainer Training Course Working at Height Training Course Managing health and safety is an important part of looking after your business. All employers by law are required to control health and safety risks. But surely some of the courses above are the same but just repeated under a different industry name. I think its a good thing looking after peoples health but I don't really think we need training on it. Most of it is common sense. About the AuthorSource: ArticleTrader.com ![]() Comments
