The commodity market started long back in Indian history but due to political problems of India its came to actual existence after a long time. In recent years the commodity market has gain huge popularity among the Indian traders. The commodity market is basically divided into two segments basically the mcx market and the ncdex market.
The commodity market marks its presence among traders since a long time but in the past few years this market has gained great popularity. Over the past few years trading volume in this market has increased substantially and thus has also given an opportunity to informed and wise investors for earning high profits.
Commodity market mainly involves trading in various commodities such as gold, Silver, Copper < crude oil, Chana, Jeera etc
The market is broadly divided into two exchanges as follows;'
1. NCDEX- NCDEX stands for National Commodities derivatives exchange. It is an exchange where Agro commodities such as Chana, Jeera, Kapas, Mustard Seed, Turmeric, soybean, etc are traded.
This market regulates from 10.00 A.M in the morning time 5.00 P.M in the evening. Trading is usually conducted in standard lots and every contract has an expiry date which is pre decided by the exchange.
In addition NCDEX market is marked by high volatility. This market is a perfect opportunity for traders who carry an approach for high return with high risk. However in the past few years informed trading and proper trading tips has reduced the risk to a great extent
The ncdex market includes calls for NCDEX Commodities i.e. Chana, Jeera, Guar, pepper, Mentha, Turmeric, kapas etc. NCDEX is basically trusted for agriculture product.
2. MCX: MCX stands for Multi Commodity exchange. It is a market which operates from 10.00A.M in the morning till 11.30 in the evening. This market is further divided into three categories:
• Base Metals: Aluminium , Lead, Zinc , Copper, and Nickel
• Energy: Crude oil and Natural gas are included in it.
• Bullions: This involves two highest traded commodity in the exchange i.e. Gold and Silver
