The fall is a fun time of year wiht all the holidays and school starting, but it is going to be extra good this year because of all the great movies premiering. There are some that are already known because they come from popular books while others have well known actors and actresses.

1. The Maze Runner (19 September)

Based off of the best selling book by the same name, this story line follows Thomas, who wakes up in an elevator and cannot remember anything but his name. Along with 60 other teen boys, he must learn to survive in a completely enclosed environment. A new boy arrives every 30 days and joins this group. "The Glade", the name of the original group, has been in this enclosure for two year and they are trying to escape. Just as they begin to give up hope, a comatose girl arrives with a strange note and completely changes the boys' world.

Since this is the first book in a popular series by James Dashner, this is going to be just the first installment. People should know that going into it, because there is going to be more to the story than what can be fit into this one film's time.

2. The Good Lie (3 October)

Reese Witherspoon, Corey Stoll, and Sarah Baker star in this dramatic tale that is based on real life events. A group of four young Sudanese refugees, or Lost Boys of Sudan, win a lottery for relocating to the United States. They are assigned to a brash American woman (Witherspoon) and this story is about their experiences.

3. Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day (10 October)

This well loved childhood classic is coming to life on the silver screen in October. The story line is fun and what makes it even better is that it stars Jennifer Garner, Steve Carell, and Bella Thorne. This well-loved comedy follows a little boy named Alexander who just can't seem to catch a break. His bad day trumps anyone else's bad day with nothing going right. In the end, this film highlights the innocence of childhood and how much family means.

4. The Book of Life (17 October)

This promising animated story follows Manolo, a young man who faces the old adage of following his heart or meeting his family's expectations. Before he can make up his mind though, he embarks on an incredible journey over three fantastical world where he faces his greatest fears. What makes this film so promising is the fresh take on pop music favorites and the star-studded cast including Channing Tatum, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, and Cheech Martin.

5. The Best of Me (17 October)

What movie premier list would be complete without a love story written by Nicholas Sparks? This story follows Dawson Cole and Amanda Collier, high school sweethearts forbidden to be together. James Marsden is cast as the abused Dawson while Michelle Monaghan is cast as the wealthy Amanda. After 20 years, the two come back to a friend's funeral and reunite, instantly falling in love again.

Amanda's mother guides her to see that this match just couldn't work. She becomes increasingly afraid when some of Dawson's violent family comes to town looking for him with the intent to kill him. Later Dawson finds out Amanda has a family of her own and realizes that he hasn't had a relationship at all since her. This suspenseful story takes many twists and turns until Amanda finally realizes her true destiny. There are many details that come out where life is too short and fragile to waste time not doing what people are each meant to do.

There are many different premiere event movies that are sure to excite anyone. From family films to date nights, you should definitely pencil in some time to go and check out these premieres this fall.
