Roulette Playing Theories

Submitted by David Salt
Mon, 26 Oct 2009

Many various strategies and theories have evolved about how to successfully play the game of roulette. These experts and publications will explain how their system is foolproof and guaranteed to give you positive results. Let's face it though; casino games are games of chance. If they could always be played guaranteeing the player positive results, then casinos would be no more as they couldn't afford to operate. This is also true for roulette. The results that occur when the wheel spins are random and cannot be controlled. Therefore, no matter what you do, you can't know what will happen prior to the spin.
One playing strategy some people believe in is the Roulette Pattern Strategy. This strategy stems from the belief that a pattern exists when the ball lands on a specific number. With this pattern, you can predict the next number that will come up on the spin. People using this strategy are usually spectators at the roulette table for a great deal of time, sometimes over an hour. They observe the numbers upon which the ball is landing. They will form a pattern from these spins and then use this information when they do decide to play the game. For example, someone might notice that a particular number appears in certain intervals. When the person believe it is about to appear again, then they will enter the game and make a wager on this number. However, most of the time the people fail to predict the number correctly and lose their money.

After all, this is a game of chance. The ball moves randomly around the wheel. The wheel would have to be fixed in order for a pattern to occur. Roulette wheels cannot be rigged and strict casino regulations keep this from occurring.
Instead of looking for some get rich quick scheme promising you bountiful results from roulette, there are better ways to spend your time. Brushing up on the rules of the game of roulette would get you more in the long run than any of these gimmicks. Also, learning about the various types of roulette would be more helpful than these playing strategies. After all, a big difference exists between these forms, giving you a better chance of winning in some games over others.
