Windows to Hand Over Operating System Domination to Midori

Microsoft has announced that they have begun a research project into developing a new type of operating system. Currently, users are generally restricted to accessing their files and data only on their own PC or laptop. Windows has been on Microsoft's development radar for the past 20 years, but has successfully been upgraded and become gradually more sophisticated after every release. In keeping with this tradition, Microsoft has decided that they will begin working on a new operating system to keep up with the ever changing needs of users.

The name of the proposed operating system is Midori and will be used to full capacity with the Internet. The idea here is that Midori will allow users to access their own files from any other PC in the world. So long as the workstation is connected to the Internet, any user could log onto a computer away form their home and will be able to use it as their own. Of course, if you own a laptop, this shouldn't be too much of an issue. The sight of people in coffee shops and on trains tapping away on their portable computers is likely to exist for a while longer. However, the inception of something like Midori may well mean that those very same coffee shops and trains could install PC workstations themselves, allowing people to access their own information without having to carry their equipment with them.

A much easier sight to envisage would be PC terminals in places like hotels and airports. With the Internet now making global business a much easier obstacle to clear than ever before, there are an increasing number of professionals out on business excursions. Not needing to bring a laptop along will be able to free up a bit of luggage too, making it more convenient and easier to travel. With the developing countries across the globe catching up to the Internet, business could even stretch to these areas too to aid with development.

Windows has held an almost iron grip on the operating system since Bill Gates first managed to agree a partnership with IBM. From its humble beginnings, Windows has evolved into a colourful and interactive operating system known as Vista . With his vision of having a PC on every desk in every home around the world as good as achieved, Gates and Microsoft can begin working on realising a new dream. Midori is a truly bold concept, and one that will help change the way in which we work and use computers. Users' lives are best described as busy at the moment, as they access applications across a range of different pieces of hardware, from mobile phones and consoles to traditional PCs and laptops. Midori is thought to be able to ease the pains of using so many different pieces of equipment. If there's any organisation who can achieve such a plan, Microsoft is probably one of the first to spring to mind.
